I know it has been such a long time since I have posted anything and I have a million excuses of why I have not, BUT....that is just what they are excuses.

I had major back surgery last year that went bad and I am afraid I was filled with self pity instead of thanking God that I am alive and that I can walk..most of the time. *laughs*

I am blessed. Today I decided to turn on some of my favorite songs that have always spoke to my heart and ditch the proverbial spiritual bottle and get back on track.

Many times in the past, my friends have really praised me for always being on fire and for the past months I have been finding myself telling them, "I feel empty, I just do not have any words left."
Yet.. not only did my friends that know me better know this, but God knew it too.

Thank You Phyllis and John and Carolyn (and the entire family) for keeping on keeping me in prayer and pushing me as a true brother and sister does in Christ. I truly needed that love and encouragement and...I am afraid this warrior has been resting at His feet far too long and its time to get back up, dust myself off and get back into battle. If I get knocked down again.. I will get back up.. just watch my back and make sure I don't rest as long as I did this time.

I do have some reviews ready to go from a Christian mothers view..and they will be coming soon!!!
Love and thankfulness goes out to all of you that has kept me and my battles and trials in your prayers.

When failure meets Victory

I have heard a wise pastor one time tell the congregation, "Sometimes God has to bring us to the very end of ourselves, till we can seek him."

These words have stuck in my mind, my heart and in my soul for a few years.

As I embrace difficulties in life, I think I can manage each and every outcome. Pride turns into self dependency and self preservation and not the righteous life of being set apart in every area of my life as God intends my life to be.

Fact is, I need God through each and every struggle, the good days and the bad days, the losses and the victories. I am nothing without God.

I think we all fail here at some point of our life and yet I still struggle to get off my spiritually skinned knees when I figure out that my situations and circumstances are beyond my control, but never beyond the control of God.

May we embrace Him now, in our victories, our losses, our struggles, our desires and every part of our life.

Only then can I turn my failure into the God's victory as only He knows tomorrow.

Please keep me in prayer as I struggle to know His will, His way and His wonderful timing in my life. Taking each step only when God wills it..and not when I want it taken.

How do you handle people you do not get along with?

We have all been in a situation at one some point in our life when we make friends with a person to find out that this person was not who we thought they would be. Trust and confidence may have been broken. The person may have hurt you. Perhaps it can be repaired. You both apologize and move on with your relationship to find out that the damage continues. It never takes long to find out that you and this person can not get along, despite the fact you may love them. Abram and Lot also had this difficulty. As we read the following scriptures you can see how Abram sought the Lord and came to the right conclusion.

Gen 13:1 And Abram went up out of Egypt, he, and his wife, and all that he had, and Lot with him, into the south.
Gen 13:2 And Abram was very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold.
Gen 13:3 And he went on his journeys from the south even to Bethel, unto the place where his tent had been at the beginning, between Bethel and Hai;
Gen 13:4 Unto the place of the altar, which he had made there at the first: and there Abram called on the name of the LORD.
Gen 13:5 And Lot also, which went with Abram, had flocks, and herds, and tents.
Gen 13:6 And the land was not able to bear them, that they might dwell together: for their substance was great, so that they could not dwell together.
Gen 13:7 And there was a strife between the herdmen of Abram's cattle and the herdmen of Lot's cattle: and the Canaanite and the Perizzite dwelled then in the land.
Gen 13:8 And Abram said unto Lot, Let there be no strife, I pray thee, between me and thee, and between my herdmen and thy herdmen; for we be brethren.
Gen 13:9 Is not the whole land before thee? separate thyself, I pray thee, from me: if thou wilt take the left hand, then I will go to the right; or if thou depart to the right hand, then I will go to the left.

Gen 13:12 Abram dwelled in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelled in the cities of the plain, and pitched his tent toward Sodom.
Gen 13:13 But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly.
Gen 13:14 And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward:
Gen 13:15 For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.
Gen 13:16 And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall thy seed also be numbered.
Gen 13:17 Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it unto thee.
Gen 13:18 Then Abram removed his tent, and came and dwelt in the plain of Mamre, which is in Hebron, and built there an altar unto the LORD.

Was it easy for Abram to come to this conclusion? I am sure as traveling companions, it must have been a hard decision and a decision that hurt Abram, and more then likely upset Lot. However the decision was made and as we read to the end of the chapter, God blessed Abram. I know God knew the decision was a hard one, however it would be a decision that would indeed change the life of Abram forever.

As I read this, I look upon a recent decision in my own life. The choice to separate and take a road separately from someone that has certainly taken a road with me. We can not come upon a decision. Words have not been kind. Stress has affected both of our families and it is time to say, "Choose your road, and I will choose mine."

Another verse that even deals with conflict has been laid upon my heart at the moment.

1Co 15:33 Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.

When hurt feelings, go to angry words repeatedly, it can get the best of you. With their angry words their angry words will become worse. A fire burning under control.

James 3:8 But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.

With each accusation, for many comes people trying to defend themselves. With accusations, if you try to defend yourself, anger can and will then enter in. Many of us has lost our temper in the process and fully displayed the worse in ourselves thinking our actions are justified because of what our hearts are feeling at the time.

Jer 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

So upon unresolved repeated conflict, we should depart company. Never let our idle words flow and be filled with anger, resentment thinking we deserve to treat one another with this kind of malice to each other.

The old cliche' "If you can not say anything nice, do not say anything at all." we all should hold.

My biggest help in any conflict is praying first.. seeking God on what I need to do to make it better for me.

Never let the accuser tell you what is wrong and right. Search the Heart of God, Seek His Word, He will never fail you as you pray for a solution. Today I do take the road as God directs me. I know God wants what is best for me, today and everyday. In the end he will bless me for my decision.

Homeless In America

Every day many Americans lose their jobs, houses and end up living on the street or a shelter that can provide them a place to stay. Right now the amount homeless people are at a all time high.

I USED to look at these people and wonder how they could put themselves in such situations I would be critical and look at the jobs offered and wonder why these people could not find employment. My mind was changed when my husband lost his job.

I was even looking for employment when one day I could not even put my foot on the floor. I ended up with a severe back injury that affected the leg. Many of our services, phone, garbage, TV was turned off. I even took all my gold and sold it one month just to pay for the electric bill. Incidently there was not any money coming in, or out.

I have to thank God for a understanding Landlord, but I can assure you even his patience was wearing thin. I even went as far to to tell them, that if things came to the worse, I would understand.

When you have 2 small children, a huge fear is being homeless and living on the street. We are sworn to protect our children and yet with the elements of no four walls to protect your family that can even be more of a challenge. Of course God provided in ways that would blow my mind.

1. If you need help with rent, or a utility bill. Call the salvation army and your local Department of Children's Services.

2. United Way offers help.

3. I know in Chattanooga they have a number you can call to get numbers for help. Chattanooga is 211. Tell them what you need and they can and will help you.

4. Pray and trust God to supply your needs.

5. Do not be afraid to reach out for help.

During this time, it was more of a waking up for me to show me that Jesus would always trust our needs. Even down to days I need toilet paper, God provided. The School even put my children's name on the Angel Tree at school. This was the first year I could not buy anything for my kids as there was not any money to spend coming in. The Angel tree provided my children with presents. Every Christmas when you see that Angel Tree in the mall or store, know you are truly giving to a family that is in need.

My husband has finally gained employment and we are catching up as fast as we can. I reassured the children we would make it through as family. Families can not always say that in today's world. Yet God alone pulled us through.

Jas 1:3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.

God has taught me that the Trial of my faith.. works patience.

Php 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

God has taught me that he TRULY will meet our needs!

God has show me just how much He loves me, and I am more in love with Him then ever before. I am truly grateful for my wonderful husband and children. I am thankful for my friends that let me cry on their shoulder when I doubted the next day. I am thankful for my landlord and his wife for being patient. I am thankful for my parents who made sure the Word of God was a very important part of our life. Not only did they teach me to love Jesus, but to fear him too.

Next time when you see a homeless person, keep in mind he or she probably did not have much a choice of where they are today. Yesterday they have had a family, a house and a life. Yet life changes in a blink of a eye. It almost changed for us.

John 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

Today I want to take on the subject of Domestic Abuse. It can happen to any one, despite your age, economic status, race, married and unmarried alike. Teens even suffer this when they date. The problem with abuse, the victim rarely will speak out, or even reach out in fear that the person will get worse. Many victims suffer in silence by covering their bruises, laughing when they want to cry. You may work with someone that suffers abuse. You may go to Church with someone that suffers abuse, you may even go to school with someone that suffers abuse.

The last 2 weeks my neighbor and best friend suffered at the hands of a man she went to Bible study with. I want to share her story of survival before I even go into mine.

When she met this man, she met him in Bible Study. At first he said all the right things to make her feel wonderful about herself. She started going to Church with him. On four different occasions he had even hit her. Once he hit her all night long when she would go to sleep, only because she refused to go to the door when she needed some rest. When she let him in, her night was the longest night ever. He eve had her convinced that all her friends including me, was against her and using her. After awhile, she began to believe his words until last week. Now, she has had to take a protection order against him. He has even called me relentlessly trying to get her back, my husband has even told him not to call here, however upon knowing my husband was at work this morning, he has called. I in turn handled it legally and called the police this morning. If it was not for the years I suffered I could not have been able to know how to help her. The following is brief story of my first marriage.

When I met my EX husband I was 19 years of age. I believed the best of everyone and believed every sad story that someone would tell me. But that would soon change.

I met my husband at work. He was on break, reading the Bible and studying out of a Strongs Concordance. He went on to tell me how he was studying to be a preacher. I had always wanted to be a preachers wife and bought it hook line and sinker. My parents tried to warn me about him, including MANY people that knew him. However I was smitten with his charm and married him against my parents wishes. The first 2 years were quite wonderful. It could not have been better, but upon the 3rd year things took a horrible turn to the worse.

Now there are many forms of abuse. (Verbal, isolation, physical, sexual, financial) The list can go on and on. For over 11 years, I took all forms of abuse from him. I did not tell anyone because no one would listen. All my friends abandoned me but one. Her an I are still friends to this day. Anything that would come between him and me he would eliminate. Animals, friends everything he would make sure never stayed. I lost 2 dogs, one dog almost died and a pet squirrel from a broken back.

When the abuser feels like anything is coming before them, they work on eliminating the problem. They need complete control over the victim. They use words to intimidate and tear you down. Even going to my own parents house, if I did not leave when he told me it was time to go, he would get very angry and take it out on me.

The day I knew it was time to leave was a day this comment was made, "If you ever leave me, I think I would kill you, because you are all that I have left.

Two weeks later I left with only what I could bring with me. I never looked back. I never have seen him again since that day.

Now after I left he still could not own up to what he did, he told everyone what he wanted them to believe to make me a awful sounding person.

It has been several years since that day. I have never had to courage to even talk about this, much less write about this horrible time in our life.

I want you to know that Love is NEVER Pain! Love will never hurt. Love builds up, not tears down.

Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Gal 5:23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Gal 5:24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
Gal 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
Gal 5:26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

On a side note. I have been blessed with a wonderful new husband. we have two beautiful Children together. If you can only wait on God, he will send you the man that he wants you to be with. Do not settle for any less then what God wants for your life.

A Parenting Key Word - "Responsibility"

"Responsibility"

Today I want to talk about this simple word... "Responsibility". This word is one of those that we are all a little guilty of overlooking in life. We will watch a show on TV where we can sit ane we will critique the actors for NOT being responsible in one way or another. We will often watch shows where families NEVER do anything together and their collective lives are in "Shambles"! I know that in my own life as a parent that far too many times I have neglected my part in this area of being "Responsible" for my own kids. In the day and age in which we live we all too often allow the TV or the Internet to be the "Baby Sitter" even though we are in the same house!!!

What does the word "Responsible" actually mean? Well, acording to Webster's Dictionary it means the following:

RESPONS'IBLE, a. from L. responsus, respondeo.

1. Liable to account; accountable; answerable; as for a trust reposed, or for a debt. We are all responsible for the talents entrusted to us by our Creator. A guardian is responsible for the faithful discharge of his duty to his ward.

Look at the word's that are mentioned here about this business of "Responsibility". Word's like: Accountable, Answerable, Trust, Faithful Discharge of his Duty.

Simply put, the word "Responsible" means that we as parents ARE "Accountable" to someone for the watchful care of our children. We are also "Answerable" to someone for what we allow our kids to do, what they watch, what they listen to, who their friends are, and the places they are allowed to go. We have been given a "Trust" by God in the raising of our children. In this Trust that we have been given, it is up to us to be "Faithful" in the care of our kids. Parents, it is our "Duty" to know what is going on in their little lives.

I know there are people who will argue that their kids deserve their "Personal Space". I have news for you... you are seriously asking for a heartbreak!!! Kids do not need space, they need Mom and Dad to wake up and show that they actually care about the influences that are in thier lives. Mom and Dad need to be in their kids social scene. I myself have six children, and their mother and I are both "In The Know" of who they talk on the phone with, who they text, chat, and Facebook with!

It is our "Responsibility" to know these things. Why just this past week our daughter, who normally asks if she can "Befriend" someone on Facebook, accepted someone that my wife and I both know, but this time she did not ask permission. Well, my wife got on her Facebook account and checked things out and sure enough she came across this person. We had to have a talk with our daughter and explain to her that this particular person, had she asked our permission, would not have been allowed to be her friend. Why?? Because this man is an alcoholic!

You may say this is an invasion of her private life... My daughter is 12... I believe with all my heart this is OUR, my wife and myself, it is OUR "Responsibility"!

I have a "God Given" Duty to raise my kids right... And guess what Parents... SO DO YOU! Proverbs 22:6 "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it."

Let's raise the kids God gave us in a "Responsible" manner, after all, God is watching!

Movie Review "Precious"

Today I wanted to take the time to review the movie "Precious". It was about a high school girl that struggles to overcome abuse, physical, mental and sexual abuse.

During the movie, it starts out, she is in the classroom, she is in love with her teacher and fantasizes of being married to him. She is called to office, when the principle asks her if she is pregnant again. This will be her second child.

As the story unfolds, she was sexually molested by her father. The scene is very graphic. She indeed is pregnant with him. As she gets home, her mother abuses her physically. (Once again, very graphic scenes)

In the end she has the baby, but when she comes home from the hospital, the mother holds the baby, drops the baby and the girl barely escapes with no harm done to baby and little harm to her. Friends and teachers come to her aid to find her a place to live. Her mother decides to get in touch with her, only to find out that the mother let this sexual abuse go on since the child was born, and why she assaulted and hated her own daughter.

I could go on with the story plot, but in all honesty, that is enough of that. I want to go to the things in this movie that was so disturbing.

This movie won many awards. However,

1. There was so much language that I lost tally of the profanity only minutes into the movie.

2. The rape scene was very graphic

3. Violence was over the top.

The only good thing I saw, was she indeed kept the baby. The way she would escape from reality was through fantasy. Fantasy will not help us to deal with overcoming those ordeals in our life. People going through abuse, be it young girls, Children or adults NEED COUNSELING, Not a fantasy world.

They did not even give numbers for abuse, or information of how to get help.

As a Christian Mother, this is not a movie I would recommend to anyone. It took me days to even figure out how to even blog on this one as I could not put the movie into words.

I would like to see a movie like this in a cleaned up version that kids this age COULD WATCH. I know things like this goes on every day. People like "Precious" ARE out there. So this movie could have been better. You can say, "There is Hope" without all redundant profanity. I true message of hope would even give titles or credits of where to get the help you need.

Life In the Womb..a Story of a loss of A child and More.

The Loss of a Unborn Child

Many women every day miscarry a child. It is a pain that runs deep for years. The following is the story of my unborn child that awaits me in Heaven.

Last week was the 37th anniversary of Roe vs. Wade. Which gives women the right to choose to terminate a pregnancy legally. A decision which has led to the death of so many unborn children. Many feel that a baby is simply a host, with no emotion, no feeling and no rights. How sad America kills hundreds and thousands of children each day.

However, I will never forget the struggle for life my son, fought to come into the world, and he lost the battle.

When I first found out I was pregnant, I was happy beyond measure. Everything was going so well with the pregnancy. I had my check ups regularly and he was growing as he should. His first movement in the womb was breathtaking to say the least. It was like tiny butterflies. I could not help but laugh when I first felt his movement. But that laughter would soon turn to tears.

One day I carried in groceries and had to sit down. Intense cramps and pain, followed by bleeding. I was rushed to the hospital and they were able to stop the bleeding. I was sent home to follow up with my doctor.

When I went to the doctor they ran several tests and I was instructed to go home and rest. A day later, I got the call from Dr. Adams.
“Paula, this is Dr. Adams.”
I knew before she called that time was running out. It was something you felt, and something you knew.
My only response to her was, “He is dying isn’t he?”
She confirmed he was, and instructed me what to do when the bleeding began again.

It was a day later, I was rushed back to the hospital. They had to do a emergency DNC and a day later I was able to come home.

I will never forget being wheeled out of the hospital the feeling of, “I want my baby!” Sadness, emptiness, anger, loneliness.

My mother seemed to be the only one that understood how I felt at the time as she put her arms around me and told me to cry. I did a lot of crying. Truth of the matter is, I still cry today.

If you have ever lost a child, you need to grieve that child as you would one that even was able to come into the world. Just because he or she never took his first breath, does not mean, it is less important then one that has.

Those friends that was there for me to support me, I can not thank enough. One was a friend named Melissa. A friend that has always been there for me through the years, closer then a sister. Another was Jannell. She sent me the most lovely poem. I would type it out, however I have no idea where I have put it.

It has been proven that babies to feel pain, they can hear sound and feel your emotions from within the womb.

When I was pregnant with my 2nd and 3rd child, when I would be upset, they would tighten up.

My Daughter was even told she would never enter into the world and I was urged to abort her. There was blood in the womb upon finding out I was pregnant with her. It was a high risk pregnancy where I had to stay off my feet for 9 months. However, today she is a smart and wonderful 9 year old girl.

Sadly with the right to choose, so many children will never take their first breath.

These children did not ask to be born, however, they have been forced to die as a matter of convenience. Only God should choose who is to live, and who is to die. Not us.

Why Build Walls Around Our Children?

As much as I hate to state the simple truth, but the answer is plainly so that we can provide some degree of protection for them.

Take a look at this picture...

I can well remember the times that we would as kids, be travelling with my parents somewhere in the North during the winter months as my Dad would be preaching a Revival meeting. As "Fate" would have it, there would always be kids in these churches who were "Professional Snowball Chucker's"! Now here we were My brother, sister and myself, the three of us against most of a youth department! (Yep... They ganged up on us cause we were the "Evangelist's Kids"!!!!) You know how they say that "Life Ain't Fair"??!! Yes sir, we learned the truth of that little nugget of life very early on!

So, here we are trying to get my "Prissy" sister Debra to pack snowballs together while my brother Mike and I are fighting for our very lives on the Battlefield of the Christian Snow Warriors. All Debra could do was complain that her tiny hands were "Freezing"! (You know how sisters can be.)

I remember one church in particular, where we were out numbered, out gunned and they were working on a "Huge Wall" to Launch these half "Ice Ball", half Snow Missiles at us. We were getting "Hammered" to death!!!! So I did the only thing that I could do besides lay down and be buried under a ton of snow and ice! I called for a 15 minute "Cease Fire". As soon as they stopped "Raining" those "Hail Stones" down on top of us, the three of us started "Scooping" and "Packing" snow into a 3 sided Fort wall!!! Then we went back to making "Ammo" for the Slaughter!

I want you to know that the wall we built lasted the whole week of Revival, and when it came time for us to pack up and head back home to Chattanooga, TN. the kids of the church wanted to keep it up and use it after we were gone... However, my brother Mike and I knocked it down before we left. Why you may ask... well, in our opinion, they didn't deserve such a "Cool" Fort!!!!!

I know this is a funny way to talk about protecting our kids, but if you just take a moment... it really does make sense! We were getting killed without the protection that the wall afforded us. Not only were we able to hold our own all week long but there were many a night that week that the three of us were in fact "Victorious!

Look at it like this... The wall gave us not only protection, but it also made our small number of 3 kids able to do much more in a snowball fight than we ever did out in the open! Parents... Teenagers and all kids. Listen to me for a few moments. Mom and Dad, your Pastor, Youth Pastor they all place "Rules" and "Regulations" on you for a really good reason... Safety for one. Protection and also to give you the means to be able to stand against the temptations of this life. The Peer Pressure factor can be handled if you already know the "Walls" are there, they are Strong and They are not likely to be moved by that authority figure.

Folks, I can remember as a teenager how "Useless" I thought those "Walls" were that my parents and Youth Pastor placed in front of and around me. I thought it was stupid to have them there, however, I can sit here before God and testify that if it had not been for those walls... I would be Dead or In Prison for the rest of my Life!

Teenager, don't despise the "Walls"... instead Thank your parents and Pastors for placing them there. Young Lady, don't you know what a treasure it is for you to be able to wait for Marriage before having intimate relations. Young Man, It takes a "Real Man" to abstain and be pure before God in relationships.

Don't hate the "Walls" Thank God that they are there.

Aggressive Youths, Violent Video Games Trigger Unusual Brain Activity

INDIANAPOLIS - Exposure to violent media may affect the brains of youths with aggressive tendencies differently than the brains of non-aggressive youths, according to research at the Indiana University School of Medicine.

The results of the study conducted by the Departments of Radiology and Psychiatry were released Monday, Dec. 2, at the 88th Scientific Assembly and Annual Meeting of the Radiological Society of North America in Chicago.

The brain activity of aggressive adolescents diagnosed with disruptive behavior disorders (DBD) is different from that of other adolescents when both groups viewed violent video games, as demonstrated by the study. Brain function was measured by functional MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) scans.

"Initial evidence from the study demonstrates that adolescents with disruptive behavior disorders have different frontal lobe activation patterns than teens without the disorder," said principal investigator Vincent P. Mathews, M.D., professor of radiology and chief of neuroradiology at the IU School of Medicine. "In other words, fMRI scans show less brain activity in the frontal lobe while the youths with DBD watch violent video games. The frontal lobe is the area of the brain responsible for decision-making and behavior control, as well as attention and a variety of other cognitive functions."

"This is the first evidence that adolescents with aggressive, disruptive behavior disorders have brain activation patterns that are different from non-aggressive adolescents while watching video games," said William G. Kronenberger, Ph.D., associate professor of psychiatry and a co-investigator on the study.

Disruptive behavior disorders are separated into two behavioral disorders, one characterized by persistent rule breaking and resistance to the limits of authority. The other consists of significant violations of the basic rights of others and includes such actions as destruction of property, theft, truancy, human or animal cruelty and fire-setting. This study does not differentiate between the two.

The research, conducted over a 24-month period, had teens with DBD and teens without DBD watch a car racing video game that had excitement without violent content and a James Bond video game that had excitement and violent content. While watching the video games, the youths were scanned with fMRI to determine changes in brain activity.

The researchers also found that among subgroups of the non-aggressive adolescents there were differences in brain function dependent upon the amount of violent media exposure that they reported experiencing on television and in video games during the past year.

"There appears to be a difference in the way the brain responds depending on the amount of past violent media exposure through video games, movies and television," Dr. Mathews explained. "These early findings confirm there is a difference in the brain activation patterns of youths with DBD and those without when exposed to a specific stimulus. There also may be a relationship between violent media exposure and brain activity in normal subjects."

"These results indicate what part of the brain should be studied in future, more controlled research studies," said Dr. Kronenberger.

Other IU researchers involved with the study are Mark Lowe, Ph.D., Tie-Qiang Li, Ph.D., Yang Wang, M.D., and David Dunn, M.D.

How to know what Games your kids play.

I must admit, growing up in the age of Atari..I loved video games. But things have far moved past the days of "Pong".

I recently bought a game that was rated "T" For teens. I was very excited at the prospect of playing a wonderful action adventure when suddenly out of nowhere there was profanity in the game.

Granted another problem was searching for Thor's hammer. We as Christains are to put no other god before Our God.

This game was the newest relase of Laura Croft.. scantily dressed, and ready for action.

Yet, many parents that do not play games may buy a game like this or another one rated for teens and not at all know what is in the game.

Out of the many games I have tried for my children in the past year, most of them contained alcohol use. 3/4 of them used profanity.. and almost all, left little to the imagination where clothing was concerned.

So to all parents, I recommend using this site.

If they do not have the game listed, play it yourself. Do not in any way trust the ratings of the game on the label. As you can see from my other post, "T" Does have content not suitable for Children.

Remember when God lives in us.. he us subject to what we put in front of Him. That alone should be enough to convict us what is right and wrong for our children and for us as well.

The blank look on a teen's face when watching a game like "WWF Smackdown" might be a reflection of what's going on in his brain — and a warning sign of things to come.

Indeed, for several years child psychologists have been warning parents about the dangers of repeated exposure to violent video games. Now, there may be medical evidence to back their claims.

Researchers in Indiana have measured the effects on a brain scan. The study's principal investigator, Dr. Vincent Mathews, said prolonged exposure to violence actually affects brain function and behavior.

"The parts of the brain we looked at are the frontal lobes — the areas of the brain that are involved in emotional control, inhibition of behavior and that sort of thing," Mathews said. "The idea is that those parts of the brain don't work as well (after prolonged exposure to violence), and because of that they don't control their behavior as well."

Given an adolescent's natural hormonal mood swings, adding a steady diet of violence is like pouring gasoline on a fire, according to Dr. David Walsh, of the National Institute on Media and the Family.

"There are two things going on," Walsh said. "One is the anger is getting amplified by the ... repetitious acts of violence in the game; then at the same time the buffer to that is less active."

He said the content of most popular games today has no positive value and might shock most parents.

"What good could possibly come from having a 15-year-old spend hours and hours and hours decapitating people and organizing drug rings and murdering prostitutes?" Walsh asked.

More than two-thirds of all children live in a home with a video game system.

The average American child spends 44.5 hours a week in front of a screen, and 83 percent have a video-game console.1 Many have several kinds of game systems, and this form of entertainment is growing steadily for both children and adults.

Because video games are so pervasive, parents need to be involved and informed. A useful parental tool is the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) rating system:

EC (early Childhood): Content is suitable for ages three and up.
E (everyone). Content is suitable for ages six and up.
T (teen). Content is suitable for ages 13 and up. May contain mild language, violence, and sexually suggestive themes. Parents should use discretion.
M (mature). Identification required for purchase. Games rated M are sold only to gamers over the age of 17. Material in this category may include sexual themes, violence, and strong language.
AO (adults only). Identification required for purchase. These games are restricted to persons over 18 and are often sold only in specific game stores. Material may include graphic sexual scenes, strong language, and intense violence.2 Seriously consider whether this material is appropriate even for you or your spouse.
Remember, as the parent you want to model good decision making to your children. In spite of the availability of ratings, 90 percent of teens say their parents "never" check the ratings before allowing them to buy or rent video games.3

Control is the key. The video-game phenomenon can add to your family's life if used in a controlled setting, or it can invade your home and take over the lives of vulnerable family members.

I watched this movie the other day and certainly it was one that got me thinking just how bad entertainment has gone. First read this movie review before you go any further.
The movie starts out of a girl hungry for attention, her mother and father are both too busy for her. The family had moved into a new house.
The opening of the movie, Coroline is using a divining rod to find water when she runs into a young boy in a skeletal mask. Turns out she has chosen poison ivy. As the movie progresses, you can see how hungry she is for her parents love when she finds a door that takes her to a "Alter Reality" of sorts. A new mom, and a new dad that not only gives her attention, but it is the world of her dreams.

Her new mother cooks, cleans and gives her all kinds of gifts as does her dad. But the dream comes with a high price...she must sew button eyes into her own to stay. Everyone from the other reality is there and she loves it. However when she finds she must sew on button eyes she finds there are other children there as ghosts and she must save them from their doom. Also her parents were kidnapped into a snow globe and she must save them as well.

A few times, God's name was used in vain.
The worse part to me, was when the eccentric older women were putting on a show and one comes out in a G-string and pasties. As she moves around her chest wiggles and jiggles..and yes she is quite busty at that. Coroline even looks to her friend and laughs saying, "She is nearly Naked" To me, as a childrens movie, I was quite shocked in the content, crude humor.. and vulgarties of this one.

On the above link, you can see where many parents did walk out of the theatre in this one quite shocked of the images on the screen.

So once again, this is one that people need to research before letting your children watch it.

Keeping Small Children safe in public places and with friends.

When I was a young girl, it was safe to go look in the toy isle of your local store. However with the changing times and increased abductions, parents have gone to radical ways of keeping our children safe. In our area 2 weeks ago a man was unsuccessful of abducting a small girl. He even told he judge what he had planned to do to the child. Yes, it would have been every parents worse nightmare.

Last night on our local news, a 70 year old man was arrested after a child came forward over him molesting her.. 3 more have come forward since then and the investigation is ongoing.

On just those 2 local events, I have decided to publish my ways of how I keep my children safe in public places.

1. Start young

It is never too early to teach your children that there are people out there that are not nice. However, they might not understand at very early ages.

2. Mean what you say, and say what you mean!

When my children were old enough to walk beside the shopping cart I devised a rule. Both my children are only months apart. Rule Number One.. One hand on the shopping cart at all times. If you walk away from the shopping cart.. hold their hands. Have them walk with you! Involve them in picking up items.

For instance: A regular day of shopping would include me and both children, each with a hand on the cart.. and me pushing the cart.. When we stop the cart to pick up a item.. I have them come with me and point to what I need and tell them. They in turn pick it up and put it in the shopping cart.

Now, I have been asked how I devised this. The first time trying to incorporate this was not a easy process. I did warn them before we even went in that if they did not obey the rules we would leave everything there and go home. It only took one time of doing just that till they understood, I meant what I said.

3. Reward good behavior!
Implement rewards when they follow the directions of shopping! I can be anything from a piece of candy, a small toy, gum.. Praise them as they learn the rules of shopping.

Now on to the next issue.. Friends.
It is impossible to always know what goes on in the house of a friend that our children play with. It is very important to check this out. I develop friendships with the parents of my children's friends. Do not always assume that every parent is as conscious as you are in health, entertainment etc. I know kids in Elementary school that have done drugs and alcohol because they knew where their parents keep it at. Easy access of these elements intensifies the temptation and pressure set forth by other children.

Check up on your kids

There is nothing wrong with making a surprise visit to make sure you children are safe. Any decent parent would understand the need to check in on a play date.

Lastly
Teach your children right wrong.. and consequences to wrong..and the benefits of right. Be a example for them.

As kids watch us as parents, they are learning future behavior. For instance, kids will often mimic how you do or say different things in your every day life. If they will mimic how you toss your head to the side to remove hair out of your eyes, they will mimic even those distasteful things we do as well.

I once talked to a mom at our local bus stop, and her language was littered with profanity in front of her 2 year old little girl, however when the little girl repeated those words she had used, she became very angry at her. Yet.. this is what that little girl was learning in the home.

Morals begin in the home. Morals begin with the parent... Morals are taught.. and learned..

How many times has this happened you to?

You sit down with your family to watch a show, or movie that looks great. Your young children are sitting around and out of nowhere adult humor leaves your jaw on the ground.

However... right in the middle of Church on Sunday, your child remembers that phrase and asks you what it means?

Now, I know that seems humorous to you, but sadly it happens every day. Let us talk about this little problem.

Have you ever wondered what happened to the good clean old shows of yesteryear? I know I have.

Let us take a little scenario. There is a new item on the market, however you and a few handful of people like it. As it does not bring in the revenue to produce this item, the stores will discontinue this very item.

This rings true with movies and television shows we watch today. The time we sit down to TV, or movies that HAS the nudity, profanity, adult themes, we are supporting that very thing. Let us face it, Hollywood keeps close track on what sells. That is called ratings. When the ratings are high, they tend to produce more of those kind of movies and entertainment.

With that said, why are we supporting this by watching it? As Christ lives in us, we are subjecting his Sweet Holy Spirit to take in that trash, supporting the content. If no one goes to see a good movie, or a good clean show is not watched, to them, why bother making it. To them it would be a waste.

So on to my next question.
How can we as Christians fight the suggestive content in TV and on the big screen.
That is where it gets easy, simply do not go to see it. Do not turn on that channel. Plain and simple as that.

Some parents ask me how they can be certain what their children watch when they are not at home. The answer is simple. You teach them now! It is never too young to teach your children right and wrong with the TV. My children comes to me to change the channel if something is not right for them. Sit down with your children and even point out what is wrong and tell them "WHY" it is wrong. "Why" God would not be pleased with it.

Finally, we as Christians need to band together in prayer. We can truly make a difference.

Marley and Me.. this Movie is NOT for kids.

I recently watched a movie my kids have been dying to see..
Marley and Me.
I was outraged at this movie..and can not understand why they would market any movie with animals with this kind of content for children.

1. There was alot of alchol use in the movie.
2. There was alot of skin in the movie
3. There was a skinny dipping scene in the movie.
4. Alot of profanity in the movie..
5. Many Phrases that are considered rude and crude in the movie

I urge all you as parents to screen what your kids watch.
I read countless of articles from parents and children talking about how they did not expect the sex in the movies..and these are parents that took small children to see the movie.

Remember.. When Christ lives in us.. He too sees what we see. I am thankful that I never took my kids to see that one.. and needless to say. it is another movie they will NOT be seeing.

The New Burger King Commerical..Airing On Childrens TV Stations.

I was kicking back with my kids one day watching cartoons when this commercial aired for the kids meal at Burger King.

Every Day our children are being bombarded with attacks on their minds and body. To think this commercial was aired on our childrens cartoon channel and deemed harmless by Burger King.

As for our family, we will not be eating there. They have been toting the line for awhile.. and this is way over the line. What is next??? If this is harmless to them.. I shudder to think what they will film next to advertise their meals.. perhaps viagra for the senior coffee??
Nothing would surprise me more at this point.
As Christians it is time we take a stand against this kind of filth.. It is not alright to put this in front of our kids!

STANDING ALONE

The question that I want to start out asking is this... Have you ever had to "Stand Alone"?
Have you ever come to a point in your life when through situations that are outside of your personal control, you suddenly find yourself standing, as it feels in your heart, ALONE????

I must first state the following: I know that as a Christian, a child of God, WE, (Those of us who are saved and on our way to heaven.), are Truly NEVER alone because we have Jesus who promised us in His Word that He would NOT leave us alone:

Deuteronomy 4:31
(For the LORD thy God is a merciful God;) he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them.

Deuteronomy 31:6
Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

Joshua 1:5
There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

1 Chronicles 28:20
And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong and of good courage, and do it: fear not, nor be dismayed: for the LORD God, even my God, will be with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee, until thou hast finished all the work for the service of the house of the LORD.

I am not talking about being alone, without God. This wouls be impossible according to the Bible, and again, I Praise God for this truth.

I am referring to those times when we, as weak human vessels, look around us and see attacks from every side! We are looking around for "Fellow Warriors", who are supposed to be fighting right along side of us, and we realize that we are "Fighting the Enemy all by ourselves! This is the situation and the prospect that I am talking about.

The stark realization that "Yes" WE ARE STANDING... BUT WE ARE DOING SO ALL ALONE!

REALIZATION OF THE FACT

Looking back over my short 40 year life span, I can recall many times when I have had that same feeling, that lonely, depressing feeling that seems to grow worse with the acknowlegment that the feeling actually exists in the heart, mind and life of a Christian.
No one doubts the reality of this feeling because at some time or other in all of our lives, we ALL have felt alone. This is usually a tough topic for people to agree with because of most folks DENY THE TRUTH, even when it is right there in front of their faces.

WHAT SHOULD WE DO ABOUT IT?

The answer to this is simple... Understand that in these times we are facing "TESTING OF OUR FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST"!

James 1:3
Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.

Ephesians 6:13
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

This is the simple answer: "... and having done all, to stand." If you will carefully notice this verse, the Lord says through the writings of Paul, by the Holy Spirit of God, that WE ARE TO JUST STAND... NO MATTER WHAT! Friend, are you feeling alone as you stand for the Father in heaven? If so... STAND! Preacher, Pastor, Missionary, Evangelist, Sunday School Teacher, Bus Worker... Whatever and whomever you may be, if this describes you... THEN JUST STAND IN HIM!

You will find many times that it IS a lonely road when serving the Lord, BUT if we will just look towards HIM, look to Jesus and remember that He too stood completely alone.

Matthew 27:11
And Jesus stood (*Alone) before the governor: and the governor asked him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews? And Jesus said unto him, Thou sayest.

Matthew 27:27-31
(27) Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus (*Alone) into the common hall, and gathered unto him the whole band of soldiers.(28) And they stripped him (*Alone), and put on him a scarlet robe.(29) And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head (*Alone), and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him (*Alone), saying, Hail, King of the Jews!(30) And they spit upon him (*Alone), and took the reed, and smote him (*Alone) on the head.(31) And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify him. (*ALL ALONE!)

I know in my heart there are many who struggle with this same thing, Most folks have to deal with this on a "Daily Basis". May I encourage each one of us to "Take a Stand For The Lord and Keep On Standing... NO MATTER WHAT THE COST MAY BE"!

We can not hide from God. He sees everything that we do, hears everything that we say and knows everything that we think. We are an open book to him. It amazes me that people seem to think that they can hide stuff from God and that he won't know about it. You can hide things from people but never God. The Bible says that everything that is done, said or thought in secret will be brought out into the light.

John 17: 11-16

He put us in this world to do one job. That was to spread his word throughout the land. How can we do our greatest commission if we are not here? Why would we want to miss and opportunity to share God's word with someone? I find, for myself at least, I may not be able to witness or share God with those who I run across, ie strangers, but I can do it over the computer. I am not a face to them, but what better place to share God's word that on the internet? Most homes have one and everybody is on them. What a great place to share the Word of God.

Heb. 4:13

Oh that we would have wisdom and knowledge. I have noticed that lots of people just don't use a lot of wisdom in their everyday life. I credit my parents for this, and I really don't remember them actually teaching this, plus I am positive that God had a hand in this. I try very hard to stop, look at a situation, think about it, look DOWN the road to see what the ramifications would possibly be if I did a certain thing. Check the pros and cons of it in it completeness and then if I still think that it is a good idea, well do it. If not, don't go there. The end result may not be what we would like it to be. Apply the knowledge the good Lord instilled in us to think about the things that we are doing. Apply his wisdom and knowledge to what we are fixing to do, say or think. There is a great saying around this world that I am sure God really did have a hand in. WWJD. What Would Jesus Do? Think about it. Would Jesus say or do that? Would he think that? Would he feel that way?Apply the wisdom and knowledge that he gave us in his good word and apply it to our daily lives.

The Bible is Back in our Public School!

The Bible is Back in OUR Public School!

Yes, you read that right.. Children are actually awarded in bringing their Bible to School!!!! Yes..Public School!

Now I know many of you are sitting there shocked to read that.. and believe me, I sat in a state of shock, gratitude and thankfulness when this happened in our children's public School.

Just a few weeks ago both of our children brought a paper home to be signed and returned to be able to join in on FCA meetings. A time of devotions, saying memory verses, and prayer. They are awarded prize points for bringing their Bible, saying their memory Verse etc.

My son was even chose for leadership. I was able to join in on the meeting the other day. Right now they have about 30 students attending and more coming in every week.

When you enter this classroom they have Jesus Music playing. A teacher will start the meeting off with prayer. They will play a couple games, then a teacher brings devotions, a student will bring another devotion. Prayer Request taken. Awards given out for bringing their Bibles and saying memory Verses. They then close in prayer and dismiss to class.

When I called the principle to thank for putting the FCA in the school, she told me one of the school counselors submitted it and she approved it!

With this said.. The FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) Is able to do this.. under the first amendment. However, it only took ONE PERSON to be brave enough to stand up to do this. I have already seen one child's life transformed. A 10 year old boy, who many thought would have been hopeless..already with sexual battery charges against him. This young boy came up to me to let me know he accepted Christ. The change is so evident in this young boy as he comes over to play often.. all because of one person who saw hope and the need to get the Bible back in the classroom!!!!!
So I urge all of you.. Get the FCA into your public school.. get lives transformed now!!!

Time is short as we all know. What a wonderful experience it is to walk into the public school system and see these children carrying Bibles.. HUNGRY for the Word of God..while many do not want to take the time to even spend a few minutes with God!!! Really puts things into perspective!!!

As a bird owner, when I have a new clutch of babies, my kids have learned that the babies choose their own names. We first go by labeling them in order of hatching. "Baby 1, Baby 2" etc. As their personalities develop the name always produces itself.

This time we have Red Beak and Trouble. Red Beak was names because of her beautiful red beak, and Trouble was named because try as hard as he could.. he was always in trouble. Even today as he figured out to open his own cage and come flying out on his own all I could do was shake his head. Certainly he is one that lives up to his name.

With that said, what name do we live up to with our Father God? Perhaps are name is Whiner, or Complainer,Gossiper or it could be Praising , Worshiper, Loving, the list of names can go on and on.. and how well do we live up to our names. Do we live to Exalt the name of God? Or do we live to tear others down. Do we show Christ in our lives?

Remember as we live today, that God is watching us in all we do. Know one day we will be given NEW NAMES.. what will that name be?

Something Simple That Can Change Everything!

I have been praying for a while now about the great need that the Youth of America, and the world for that matter, have in regards to "Needing" a closer relationship with Christ. Now don't get me wrong, I know that this is NOT just a need for the Youth of our world, it is something that ALL of us can use.

I guess the reason why it has been more focused on young people for me recently is that I have been spending a lot of time with the youth of our Church in Tallahassee, listening to them as they talk about the struggles they face in trying to "Stay Close" to God. I have been very surprised by the level of maturity in the actual thought they have all put in to trying to find a "Cure" for this thing that is keeping them "At A Distance" from the Lord.

I am not going to shock anyone when I tell you the "One Thing" that can "Truly" change your life. I know that this answer is something that has been mentioned many times on this blog as well as throughout the generations that have been alive since the time of Jesus Christ. This answer has ALWAYS been here but it has been continuously ignored and overlooked generation after generation! Centuries have passed and the answer has stayed the same, no tricks, no "Smoke and Mirrors", no "Snake Handling" required for this one... it is the ONLY thing in the world that will NOT harm you in any way, but it will CHANGE you COMPLETELY, no matter who you may be, where you may live... NO EXCEPTIONS!

The answer is simply this...

THE BIBLE

I know that may sound too simplistic and some people may even say that it is a "Stupid" answer, well you are entitled to your own opinion! I still stand by this answer, I know it works, I know it makes "THE" difference in my life each and every day and I know it WILL BE THE ANSWER FOR YOU!

I have seen it happen time and time again, Christians "Drift" away from the Lord and they keep making the mistake of thinking they can "Mysteriously" find their way back by themselves. This is a Big, Fat Lie of the Devil! You and I cannot do anything by our own power to "Keep Us" from getting farther and farther from the Lord.

Only God Can Do This!

It is ONLY through His Word that you and I can grow. It is through Him, Through His power, Through His Blood, His Forgiveness, His Restoration, His Righteousness, His Death, Burial and His Glorious, Miraculous Resurrection that we have any hope at all! In the pages of The Bible, we can truly see Jesus reflected in every story, every Character in His word points to "Who" and "What" Jesus Christ actually is!

As an Evangelist, I constantly meet people who are discouraged and "Beaten Down" in their life. I listen to them as they cry and pour out their hearts telling me just how "Far" they feel they have gone from the "Strong Arms" of their "Loving Heavenly Father". They feel unprotected, unloved, unwanted, unneeded by anyone and everyone. This is sadly becoming more and more common in our Homes and in our Churches this whole world over.

If we have ever needed to "Return to The Bible"... THIS IS THAT TIME!

Think on this for a while. Let the Holy Spirit speak to YOU and follow His direction. He will NEVER lead you "AWAY FROM GOD"!

At the University of Chicago Divinity School each year they have whatis called 'Baptist Day.' On this day each one is to bring a lunch tobe eaten outdoors in a grassy picnic area. Every 'Baptist Day' theschool would invite one of the greatest minds to lecture in thetheological education center. One year they invited Dr. Paul Tillich. Dr.Tillich spoke for two andone-half hours proving that the resurrection of Jesus was false. Hequoted scholar after scholar and book after book. He concluded thatsince there was no such thing as the historical resurrection thereligious tradition of the church was groundless, emotional mumbo-jumbo,because it was based on a relationship with a risen Jesus, who, in factnever rose from the dead in any literal sense. He then asked if therewere any questions. After about 30 seconds, an old, dark skinned preacher with a head ofshort-cropped, woolly white hair stood up in the back of the auditorium.'Docta Tillich, I got one question,' he said as all eyes turned toward him. Dr Tillich paused for a moment and answered in exemplary scholarlyfashion: 'I cannot possibly answer that question, for I haven'ttasted your apple.' The white-haired preacher dropped the core of his apple into hiscrumpled paper bag, looked up at Dr. Tillich and said calmly, 'Neitherhave you tasted my Jesus.' The 1,000 plus in attendance could not contain themselves. Theauditorium erupted with applause and cheers. Dr. Tillich thanked his audience and promptly left the platform. Have you tasted Jesus? 'Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takesrefuge in Him. If you have, rejoice in the hope of the resurrectionthat your faith in Him brings.' In the next few weeks, I want to cover many topics of entertainment. This will cover topics such as, internet activity, television and music. My hope is to inspire many of you to take the time to consider how you spend your free time. What things to you fill your void with?

Today, we will cover the internet chat room.

I was taken back with this research. To complete my research I had to actually jump into a chat room, just to see what it was all about. So I decided to go into a “Christian” chat room.

Upon entering, I saw many things that I saw displeasing.
1. Professing Christians using God’s name in vain.
2. I saw people trying to fire them up, just to trip them up and make them argue.
3. I saw Christians name calling of the ones that obviously came in for a fight.

Those are but a few of the many things that grieved my heart. I sat and watched not typing a word. However, I knew I could not leave the room without saying something, but what?

There was no conversation about Jesus and the grace that forgives sin. I must admit to feeling guilty of even sitting before a chat room.

I then asked them why they were arguing over pointless things, when one of the trouble makers was quick with words to me. I could not help but roll my eyes and type in a quick thank you, and how they were a sweetie. Well, what was next was amazing..as they thanked me.

My response, “And that folks demonstrates how a soft answer turns away wrath.”
From there, I left as I felt my research was completed.

Now with that said, I want to break down the chat room for you.

1. When you enter a chat room, one thing is certain, everyone has a cool name to represent what they want you to see of them. Their name is their identity.
2. There is ALWAYS 1 or 2 people that control and lead the room. Their mood and demeanor will control how the room goes. If they feel down and depressed, the room will be down and depressed all the same. People work to please these people.
3. You will have lurkers that come in just to watch. Make no mistake, the regulars are checking out their profile to see just WHO they are.
4. Once you’re a regular you will be greeted with “cyber hugs” a cyber hug looks much like this. (((((your name here)))))

There are many dangers in a chat room. I want to share with you many here.
1. People can be who and what they want to be. I have seen the old be young, the young be older. Basically in the net, you can who and what you want to be, of which you can not be in real life.
2. If it sounds too good be true, it often is. For instance, a professional model will not spend 10+ hours a day on the internet.
3. Many people find victims on the internet. It is easy to feel connected to someone you have never met in real life. I have seen marriages and friendships dissolve because someone has met another on the internet. You may think you are too strong for this, and that it will never happen to you. HOWEVER… you got to remember, no one jumps on the internet thinking they will be a victim.
4. People are not as they seem. Many people have lost lives to meeting people on the internet. I once read of a man that abducted a girl that decided to meet her internet friend. Praise God she was found. If you do a search on internet related crimes it can be a very dangerous way of meeting friends. NOTE: I am not saying that everyone is a fraud on the internet. I have met a few wonderful people in that way and plan on keeping them close friends for a lifetime.

Another awful thing I am seeing is Christians using the internet to find new ways of fornication. Let me tell you one thing.. GOD REVEALS SIN! Even those awful things you decide to do on the internet. Be it looking at pornography, or flirting.

Proverbs 23:7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.

I want to give you all a word of caution of a chat room. You may not think right now that the worse can and will happen to you, but there is no new sin… none… nada!!

Ask yourself, are you behaving wisely, in a perfect way. Are you doing things in a perfect heart? Are you turning away from what is wicked as well as the works of them that are wicked?

Always remember, God is watching ALL you do. He knows your heart. He knows your very thoughts.

It's called CHRISTmas...got it? GOOD!

With all the retailers forbidden to say.. "Merry Christmas" I have decided to take my CHRISTmas shopping in stride..making sure to be extra polite so I can tell others.. "Merry Christmas."

So far, I have gotten "Merry Christmas" out of Walmart employees, Dollar General employees, Bi Lo Employees, and sporadic people in general.

I always make sure I start with a smile...and I watch for the cashier to speak to wish me a happy holiday season..when I blurt out..with a smile, "You Have a Merry Christmas now!"

This holiday season is the celebration of the day Jesus Christ was born.. to shed his blood and die on the cross for our sin. Now I know many out there will scoff of what I say..and that is fine too. If your reading this..I know HIS word will not return void.

This week is not about the presents under the tree. It is not about the turkey, the ham..or the deserts. It is the day of the Lord Jesus Christ.. HIS birthday.

So to all of you out there..from our family to yours........
I pray God blesses you with a wonderful CHRISTMAS! Remember, it is not about us...it is about HIM!

Be bold..be radical..but don't be left behind!

Twilight The Movie

The newest movie and book craze right now is "Twilight" a movie (and book series) aimed at teens about a love story between a clumsy teenage girl and a vampire.

Yep blood sucking vampire meets nerdy girl...they fall in love.. however there is no sex in this movie and thus parents are giving the thumbs up for their children to watch this movie and read the series of books.

We as parents need to teach our children about healthy relationships NOW.
1. The bad boy?? Hang it up.. you can NOT change someone. If they show traits now that are disturbing.. just you wait.. it can only get worse.
2. Stalking is not a trait I would want in a future boyfriend or girlfriend for my children.
3. Although there is no sex in the movie..many times the scene is set. Never put yourself in a situation that is unable to be controlled. Flee from temptation the Bible says.. not.. sit and stay awhile.

Now I tell my kids.. if it is not of God, (movie, music etc) who does it glorify. I find it hard to believe that someone would think a movie of a vampire would be of God.

I want to encourage all of the parents in a big way.. using myself. I loved horror writings as youth.. and yes.. the so called "innocent" fiction will draw your kids deeper into the temptations of the occult. No self professing witch woke up one day saying, "I'm a witch."

Parents study this one first.. do your own research.. see for yourself...

As my mom used to say, "Garbage in, Garbage out."

False Prophets and More...

In this day of TBN..Prosperity Preaching has turned the pulpit into Motivational Seminars.. how pathetic to see the sinner told.. Give to Me.. and God will open the flood gates of Heaven and enrich your life..

The only flood gates that are opened with this kind of preaching are the flood gates of hell..as many non-Christians are told.. Hey.. all you got to do is be good.. send money and a blessing will come your way.. "Don't forget..we will send you this free gift of oil for a love gift of only 24.95!"

Being good will not ensure your place in Heaven, the oil will not save your soul.. but only accepting Jesus as your Savior.. HIS BLOOD is the way to Heaven.. There is only ONE way to the Father..and that is through HIS SON!!! Accepting, believing and living your life set apart...

It is time for a wake up call..as the Church is waxing cold..professing Christians are sending more people to hell on a daily basis.. as our lovely TBN preachers keep padding their security in the almighty Dollar here on earth.

I want to urge you ALL to do a search with 2 words.. FALSE PROPHETS...Read the facts and do the research.. You will see enough evidence to support the claims of this writing.. I do not even need to name those that are sending people to hell..but NOT exposing SIN.. By telling people HOW to be saved.

There is only ONE way to be saved.

Now, my friends I hold dear..and they come from all walks of life.. to hard core bikers to the most devoted of Christians that walk the walk..talk the talk and Love the Lord with all their heart and Soul..

So I want to throw you a Pop Quiz!!!! Get your pencils and Papers ready..and have the Bible in front of you. (You will need it!)

1. Did The Apostle Paul have a home of his own.
2. How did each Disciple die....
3. Does God promise Earthly prosperity to anyone.
4. Explain your Answer to number 3.... give me the examples you came up with.
5. Jesus Washed the feet of His Disciples..True.. or False

You know what..I will give you the answer to number 5...TRUE!!!!

Jesus Did indeed wash the feet of his disciples..showing us that we, as Christians should never get too proud to humble OURSELVES AS SERVENTS!!!!!!!!!!

I don't care who you are.. YOU ARE NOTHING without Jesus. NOTHING! Face it.. if you do not humble yourself as Jesus commands us to do.. what good is the actions and words you speak.

Paul himself actually wrote a few letters to the Church of Corinth rebuking them of their pride..and being puffed up with this pride.. look at I Corinthians 4.. of course the entire book is worth reading.but let us even pay attention to 4:18
It appears some were so proud and vain that they did not think Paul would come to them.. it is so easy to see just how angry Paul felt In Verse 21...and who can blame him..
Paul walked beside Jesus!!! He ate with Jesus..talked with Jesus.. and yes...he was a sin hater too!!!!

I want to challenge each of you that read this blog to do a Bible Study of your own. Do not take my words for it.. but the Word Of God also..

Tea Party with Jesus

We as adults forget what it is like to have a life with Jesus and to truly talk to him and spend time with him. We are all so busy with our daily lives that we forget to take time out for the important things in life. Like talking with Jesus. Have we ever thought about what Jesus might be going thru? How his heart is breaking? If he is feeling bad? Is he having a bad day? Did we hurt his feelings?

Let me tell you a story of a 7 year old little girl.

This little girl is a precious child of God. She loves to go to church, to sing songs to God, Sunday School. She loves the Lord with all of her heart and loves to pray for people. She believes for what she is praying for also.

One day this little girl was playing in her room and had been in there a long time. Her dad was in the living room and heard his daughter talking to someone. He knew that she didn't have any friends over and that his son was not old enough to talk yet. He went to her bedroom door and stood there. As he stood there, without her seeing, he noticed she was having a tea party. As she went around the table, pouring tea and handing out snacks, she just kept on talking. Finally, the dad just had to ask his daughter, "Who are you talking to?" His daughter turned around and smiled and said, "Jesus", and then turned and continued talking. The dad said that he was ashamed of himself. That his little girl was sitting there playing with Jesus, having a tea party with him and talking to him about nothing in particular and he doesn't even talk to him on a regular basis.

When was the last time you talked with Jesus? When was the last time you talked to him without asking him for anything? When was the last time you invited him to one of your family gatherings?

This little girl that I am talking about is my very own granddaughter. She has a loving personality and has the sweetest spirit about her. She is a joy.

As a child, that is how we should always come to the Lord. Humble, loving and excited to be in his presence.

God lives under the bed

GOD LIVES UNDER THE BED I envy Kevin. My brother Kevin thinks God lives under ! his bed . At least that's what I heard him say one night.. He was praying out loud in his dark bedroom, and I stopped to listen, 'Are you there, God?' he said. 'Where are you? Oh, I see. Under the bed...' I giggled softly and tiptoed off to my own room. Kevin's unique perspectives are often a source of amusement. But that night something else lingered long after the humor. I realized for the first time the very different world Kevin lives in. He was born 30 years ago, mentally disabled as a result of difficulties during labor. Apart from his size (he's 6-foot -2), there are few ways in which he is an adult. He reasons and communicates with the capabilities of a 7-year-old, and he always will. He will probably always believe that God lives under his bed, that Santa Claus is the one who fills the space under our tree every Christmas and that airplanes stay up in the sky because angels carry them. I remember wondering if Kevin realizes he is different Is he ever dissatisfied with his monotonous life? Up before dawn each day, off to work at a workshop for the disabled, home to walk our cocker spaniel, return to eat his favorite macaroni-and-cheese for dinner, and later to bed. The only variation in the entire scheme is laundry, when he hovers excitedly over the washing machine like a mother with her newborn child. He does not seem dissatisfied. He lopes out to the bus every morning at 7:05, eager for a day of simple work.He wrings his hands excitedly while the water boils on the stove before dinner, and he stays up late twice a week to gather our dirty laundry for his next day's laundry chores. And Saturdays-oh, the bliss of Saturdays! That's ! the day my Dad takes Kevin to the airport to have a soft drink, watch the planes land, and speculate loudly on the destination of each passenger inside. 'That one's goin' to Chi-car-go!' Kevin shouts as he claps his hands. His anticipation is so great he can hardly sleep on friday nights. And so goes his world of daily rituals and weekend field trips. He doesn't know what it means to be discontent. His life is simple. He will never know the entanglements of wealth of power, and he does not care what brand of clothing he wears or what kind of food he eats. His needs have always been met, and he never worries that one day they may not be. His hands are diligent. Kevin is never so happy as when he is working. When he unloads the dishwasher or vacuums the carpet, his heart is completely in it. He does not shrink from a job when it is begun, and he does not leave a job until it is finished. But when his tasks are done, Kevin knows how to relax. He is not obsessed with his work or the work of others. His heart is pure. He still believes everyone tells the truth, promises must be kept, and when you are wrong, you apologize instead of argue. Free from pride and unconcerned with appearances, Kevin is not afraid to cry when he is hurt, angry or sorry. He is always transparent, always sincere. And he trusts God. Not confined by intellectual reasoning , when he comes to Christ, he comes as a child. Kevin seems to know God - to really be friends with Him in a way that is difficult for an 'educated' person to grasp. God seems like his closest companion. In my moments of doubt and frustrations with my Christianity I envy the security Kevin has in his simple faith. It is then that I am most willing to admit that he has some divine knowledge that rises above my mortal questions It is then I realize that perhaps he is not the one with the handicap . I am. My obligations, my fear, my pride, my circumstances - they all become disabilities when I do not trust them to God's care Who knows if Kevin comprehends things I can never learn? After all, he has spent his whole life in that kind of innocence, praying after dark and soaking up the goodness and love of God. And one day, when the mysteries of heaven are opened, and we are all amazed at how close God really is to our hearts, I'll realize that God heard the simple prayers of a boy who believed that God lived under his bed. Kevin won't be surprised at all! When you receive this, say a prayer. That's all you have to do. There is nothing attached. This is powerful.

Trunk Or Treat..Our Experience.

My Children and I experienced a new event to our family this Halloween, called "Trunk Or Treat". For those that do not know what this is, let me explain the concept.

It is always hosted by a Church, (a lot of Churches in our area love to do this very thing.) The members park their cars in the parking lot, load up with candy and provide a "Safe Alternative" to the normal door to door trick or treat.

So my children wanted candy and they talked me into doing this very thing..I mean how bad could it be at a Church.

So off we went.. We went to 3 different Churches... and had 3 different experiences.. (the names of the Churches I will leave out.)

Church Number one.. had the inflatable's. HOWEVER... hotdog's, apples..hope you brought your money, because they charged for them.. they awarded the kids with one small bag of candy.. they had a live band..BUT..the People that were working this event WAS RUDE! My kids pronounced it lame and we moved on to Church Number 2.....

Church Number 2..you had to sign in first.. your name, address, phone number and they asked if you went to church. The cars were lined up..and one car by one our kids loaded up with candy.. However..... no one told us about Jesus the entire time... not a tract one in the candy.

Church Number 3.. was a church I used to attend..how nice it was to be hugged and remembered.. they even gave everyone free hot dogs, cider, hot chocolate.. people went about talking to everyone.. the fellowship was free...

When I got home..I went through the candy.. only one tract..
The only time God was mentioned at any of these, was when my 9 year old son looked at a member at Church 2..and said "God Bless you!" That was a shock for that member..

Now..on to my thoughts of Trunk or Treat...
1. If a Church is going to do this kind of thing.. YOU NEED TO EVANGALIZE! How many souls slipped through the fingers of the saved...
2. Follow up.... Church 2..did wonderfully well by getting the information of others to follow up with..
3. ALWAYS show the love of Christ.. Don't be rude.. like Church number one.. if I wanted Rudeness..we would have gone to the houses on our block..not a Church.
4. What would it hurt to throw in tracts with the candy???? Those Chick Tracts are great for kids!!!
5. Not once..were we invited to Church...except for by Church number 3.. they really did miss us..and made a point to let us know we were missed. But God has moved us to a different Church...they understood.

Remember..in all we do.. as Christians..we need so show the Love of Christ..

How Is My Driving?

This weekend, while going out for a few groceries, I was in a hospital zone..with a marked 20MPH speed limit when this car behind me wants to attach himself to my bumper in hopes to speed me to 21MPH.. Obviously in a hurry. Well... how to explain to this man that wanted to be so close to me, that I honestly could not afford another ticket.

Since my last run in...with a state trooper I obey every rule of road. Oh I know, you want to know about my wonderful time with our local State trooper, so I will recap.

About 2 years ago, I had to run to the bread store before my children got home from school..what is hamburgers without buns?? So as the dutiful mom, I jump in the car, and pull out.. forgetting one very important thing..MY SEAT BELT!

Well as soon as I pull out of our road a State Trooper pulls me over and asks why I did not have on my seat belt..I explained as a dutiful mom, my children need hamburger buns.. as takes my drivers license and insurance card..I could not help but smile and ask him "Please don't check the trunk." That was when he asked to step out of the car. Praise God he finally saw the humor and gave me my one and ONLY warning.. Yes he stressed ONLY... so I never break any rule of the road...

Now back to my weekend shopping trip.. by now.. the man behind me was so close he could have sat in the back seat with me. I was not about to break the speed limit law.. we finally came to the 30MPH zone..and I was able to accelerate..and so did he.. I was so thankful when another lane opened and he whipped around me! He was none to happy with the law abiding woman in the Dodge Dakota.. but that was when my eye caught..

What if I was not a Christian?? And I saw his Jesus Fish and scorned the very God I serve..because of that mans actions while driving??
You know..if your going to REPRESENT God.. you better be showing HIS love in all you do..

Driving, walking, talking, dressing, you better represent. Many of us fail to realize that..even if we are late for work.. trying to get home.. what is 5 extra minutes to properly conduct yourself in a manner that is pleasing to Jesus....

Love them like Jesus Does.....
And when you see the girl driving the Big Dakota truck.... stop and wave.. and know..I am going speed limit because I already had my ONE and ONLY warning.

My Favorite Scriptures

Phil. 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. "

Phil. 4:19 "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. "

These two scriptures, I find, will hold you up in any trial that you go thru and this is why I know.

"I CAN do ALL things through Christ which strengtheneth me"

That means that NO matter what I am going thru I CAN get thru it. I CAN walk one more day in the Lord. I CAN stand the trial one more day. I CAN smile one more smile. I CAN help one more person. I CAN laugh one more time. I CAN forgive one more assault. I CAN do all of this and much more because Jesus is with me to help me do this. He helps me walk each day with him no matter what I am going thru or how I feel. I can get up each morning and thank God I have this one more day to be a blessing to someone else. I can forgive even when I don't feel like forgiving or when the pain hurts to bad. I can give it all to the Lord and let him deal with it and just go on.

"But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus."

Well, now this is a different story. We all go thru things in this life that are not easy by any means. We all have things that affect our lives, good and bad. We all have bills to pay, groceries to buy, homes to pay for, clothes to buy, dr's to visit, medicines to buy, kids to take care of, jobs to go to and colleges to pay for. How in the world are we ever gonna meet all of these needs? Sometimes we find ourselves in situations where we have bills piling up and no money to take care of it. Where do we go? Straight to the Lord. He promises that he will take care of us no matter what. Psa. 23:1 says that " The Lord is my shepherd, I shall NOT want." Well, now that sounds like a promise to me, just like " He shall supply ALL your needs". There is another promise. We live in the flesh and not always do we have the patience to "Wait upon the Lord."

Isa 40:31 "But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. "

We are a people who want it "right now", not wanting to wait but the Lord is always faithful and he WILL do what he has promisd. "He shall supply ALL our needs".

Here is a perfect example of what I mean.

When I was a young mother with a baby, I was going thru a divorce and was living with my mom. We were having a revival and I wanted to go, but not having any panty hose, I wasn't sure I would go. So I started praying for a pair so I could go to the revival. Well, I was walking around in the yard that day and low and behold, I looked down and there layed some money. Wow, there was my panty hose, so my mom, daughter and I took off to town to buy a pair of panty hose. LOL Laugh at me if you want, it is kind of funny, but let me tell ya, even tho panty hose may not be that important to some people, it was to me. God does take care of the little things, such as panty hose.

One time we were running low on food in the house. In the Bible there is a story about a woman with a child and only just a little flour to make a cake with. She was goning to make a cake for her and her son and then they were gonna die. Along came a man of God and said to her to make him a cake. She explained her situation to him and again he told her to make him a cake. Being obedient to the man of God, she did as instructed. Well guess what? Her flour barrel didn't run out. That is what happens when you are obedient to the Lord. We were running out of groceries and needed some and with a baby in the house, we were getting worried. Well, mom and I prayed over our flour barrel and guess what? It didn't go dry. God provided. Don't ask me where it came from or anything else cause I don't know except that God provided. When I say the "flour barrel" I literally mean the "flour barrel". We made our own bread and such and we have a can that we put flour in and I watched it every day, fixing our bread, at the such and it never went down. Praise the Lord.

God WILL take care of you no matter what. My husband and I have been facing a lot of things lately but we are believing that God is seeing us thru. We have had health issues, my husband being told he had a tumor in his pituitary gland. God saw to it that it was not cancerous, NO pain, NO swelling, NO brusing, NO pain medication at all. The hospital and dr's just couldn't believe all of that was happening. Well you know what? When you serve a Mighty God and you BELIEVE in him and trust him, this is what you get.

PRAISE THE LORD FOR HE IS GOOD !!!!!!!!!!!

What do you plan on doing today? How will you accomplish it? Will someone see you for who you truly are or will they see what you have become thru Jesus?

2. DRESS UP!! " The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at outward appearances; but the Lord looks at the heart" I Sam. 16:7

The best way to dress up is to put on a smile. A smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks.

3. SHUT UP !! "He who guards his lips, guards his soul." Prov. 13:3

Say something nice and then listen. God gave us two ears and one mouth, so he must have meant for us to do twice as much listening as talking. Is what your saying pleasing to God or hurting someone? Think first and then speak.

4. STAND UP!! "Let us not be weary in doing good; for the proper time, we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good..." Gal. 6:9-10

Stand up for what you believe in. Stand up for something or you will fall for anything.

I often frequent a used bookstore located by my house. The man that runs it, will always ask me questions. Often he says, "I don't know how you do it." "How do you remember this?" But the question, "Have you always been like this?" Stopped me cold.

Sadly, my testimony is one littered with junk, scars for me, and scars for those that knew me for many years.. yes even down to my childhood. Matter in fact, if I could have a dollar for every person I have hurt in my past..I would be richer then Bill Gates!!

So why would I even go here? I have such a interesting bitter sweet story to tell you.. and how it turned out.

In my School days..I knew a girl..that just wanted to be my friend. Her name was Amy Smith. Now, because I wanted to fit in with the crowd..I gave her such a hard time..being mean, saying mean things.. and yet..I was never part of the crowd.. the "crowd" still rejected me. Yet still, Amy hung on my mind for years to come.

So browsing through "Facebook" the other day..I stopped on a name, and a picture..and the memories came sweeping back.."Amy Smith".

So I clicked on her and sent her a friend request.. not expecting her to accept...and yet she did. Right away God convicted me to apologize to her for the past.. and I went to God in prayer for 24 hours of "HOW" to apologize to someone I had hurt so bad many years ago. You know, God gave me the words.. and it was the right thing to do. I messaged her..and she returned my message with a reply. Her pain is still quite evident in her typing..and yet.. she forgave me. Apology Accepted...

Now, I want to ask each and everyone out there.. is there someone in your past..that you have hurt, that you have not made right? It may have been years ago...but Amy and I can both attest that WORDS LEAVE SCARS! Words hurt powerfully bad..and words can destroy...

However, words can also build up.. rebuild.. heal and encourage also.

Just like the words from the song, "I am not who I was" By Brandon Heath, I am wanting to build a lasting friendship with Amy.. and instead of words that hurt her...I want to give her words that a friend that loves you can speak..and mean from the heart.. with love.. with sincerity, to encourage and rebuild.

If you have hurt anyone in the past.. please..take the time to find them. Pray for God to lead you to them and make it right. It may have been 30 years ago..but it is never too late to say, "I am sorry." (Chances are..they will still be hurting.)

Amy, thank you so much for letting me use your name in this. I truly hope we can build a friendship on this..that will last forever.

To the guy at the bookstore... Nope... I was not always this way... But I am forgiven by God...for those mistakes in my past..

God is on the throne

I do believe that we will all agree that we are flesh, and we are weak.

Since Aug. of this year my family has been going thru trials right and left. In Aug. my littlest brother had been told he had a spot on his lung. They said it was cancer. They run him thru the EKG's, lung compacity test, stress test, did a biopsy on his lung and lots of blood work. Now mind you, in 1992 our mother had been diagnosed with cervical cancer. She had all the tests to prove that she had cancer. God provided. The EKG's for my brother came back as ok except he found out that that he only had 2 valves ( or something like that when everyone else has 3) He was born without one of them. His lung compacity, stress test all came back great. The blood work came back ok. All they had was the spot on the xrays. Even the biopsy came back as "NO RESULTS". Anyways, thru this whole thing I knew that I knew that he didn't have cancer. They removed the lower half of his left lung and when the pathology report came back, the answer? An infection. Bingo, God on the move. He showed up and showed off.

Now, in Sept. My husband got sick with a common cold and 24 hrs. later he started complaining of a headache and double vision. At first I thought, like most wives that he was kind of blowing it all out of preportion just like most men do, so I let it go until Monday. Our son took him to the ER and they run all kinds of tests on him. They even ran a CT-Scan on his head. Came back with a tumor in his pituitary gland. Our son works with a man that my husband knows and he came up to our son and said, " I don't know why I have to tell you this but God said to tell you, the devil is a loser, and everything will be alright". I took it and accepted it. The dr. said he was shipping us off by ambulance 100 miles away and since I don't like to travel I kind of got upset over it. Still knowing that God is on the throne. My brother came and took me home and sat with me for a while and I witnessed to him stating that when our mom had cancer, I failed badly, when the dr. told us my brother had cancer, I did just fine. Now it is in my own house. I cried and told him that I was going to get thru this the first time so I didn't have to go thru it again, or at least this partiular trial. I wrote to my best friend on line and was telling her about this whole thing and then told her about what our son's co-worker had told him. All of a sudden, 5 words hit me like a brick. "The devil is a loser". Those 5 words my best friend and I say almost every day. We truly believe them. I started laughing and crying at the same time. God knew what 5 words to use to get my attention. I was fine from then on.

The next day we left for Texas and then the following day my husband had his surgery. They got it all. Praise the Lord. I knew they would because I trust in the Lord. He had NO swelling, NO brusing, NO pain, NO anything. Never had any pain medication at all. Praise the Lord. We came home 3 days later. Through this whole thing I never doubted God and his wisdom. We have had a few problems since this but no big deal.

All of sudden today, I get some news about finances and wham, the devil had a foot hold and I got upset. Not too bad but enough to get me upset a little. Anyways, feeling sorry for myself, wishing I had someone to talk to, all of a sudden my best friend pops up online. Let me tell ya, this girl has a knack of setting you straight and using the precious Word of God to do it. I was making a comment about money and how come the rich don't have these kinds of problems. LOL She throws this scripture at me;
"Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:" Rev. 3:17
Then she tells me that if we have no needs, we won't need God. Let me tell you, I need God in every part of my life. She then tells me to close my eyes and and say " I am a duck" of course I laughed but did as she requested. Then she tells me to think of it raining. As it is raining on the duck, the water just runs off of its back. ( from book written by Karen Scalf Linamen) Never stopping to soak in. Well, I started feeling better and then she tells me that that is the way we should be when we have problems. Let them roll off of our backs like water off of a ducks back.

Good advice. Read the Word of God, stay in the Word and never give the devil footholds in your lives. He will use it to his advantage. We are not the devils property, we belong to God and was bought with a price. I Cor. 6:20

Always remember where your help comes from. God will never put more on you that you are able to bear. I Cor. 10:13

God loves each and every one of you and promises to take care of you.

I know for a fact that he is taking care of me.

There are many issues that we are dealing with in today's society. These issues are not just economical. While the focus of our presidential running mates have been on the economical issues it is the moral issues that must be at the forefront of our thinking. When we look at the moral issues it is easy to see why we as Christians must stand up and be heard. If you have watched this video I hope that you are as appalled as I am. I pray that you will re-post this on all of your other sites. We are in a time where we are being given a clear choice to make and that choice is going to dictate the condition of America's heart. It is going to show us what is more important to 'we the people' and will dictate what will happen next. While you can sit there and make arguments regarding both candidates not being perfect there is one candidate that has made a stand regarding moral issues. He has given us his stand on abortion and same sex marriages and while he appears to be losing in the debates the truth is that he shines when the discussion is brought around to morals (abortion). Please know that I am not here to tout John McCain I am here to tout Jesus Christ. I am here to promote His concepts and standards. If 'we the people' chose to elect economic change then we are telling God that morals are not as important as the economy. We are telling Him that we have no problem with sin as long as we are making money. We are saying that we don't believe that you are in control, nor do we think you will take care of us and dear friends the end of this type of thinking is certainly going to be judgment. If you don't believe me just take a look in the Old Testament. Look in Jeremiah for one, look in Deuteronomy, Isaiah and anywhere else that has the children of Israel choosing the things of the world over the things of God. When God tells us that if we would live for Him and abide by His rule then He will provide then we must honestly consider what are the main issues of this campaign. Should they not be moral issues? The choice is yours. God has always given us free will and it has always been that free will that keeps us from a relationship with Him. I pray that the video you watched awakens you to what is forth coming not only on this issue but any issue that is not tolerant of their own desires. Preach about sin; go to jail.

God's People letting God's People Suffer

My husband had been told this past month that he had a tumor in his pituitary gland and that it needed to be removed. We had to go out of town and out of state in order for him to have this done. While Fern was in there he got a message from God.

God told him that he was grieved that his people are not helping other Christians. That "Christians" are not praying for, ministering to, or visiting his people. They are not seeing to the needs of his people and his people are falling by the wayside.

We had a chance to experience this first hand during out time with Fern's health. I had called on a ex- asst. pastor as ours has moved out of town and explained the situation to them and asked if they would come to the hospital and pray with us and visit with us. They agreed. Well there was a no show. We then contacted our song leader at the church and he agreed to come and visit, while I was on the phone, he prayed for us. He was unable to come as he had been working but he did call often, as did his wife. We then contacted another minister that we had visited their church during one of the grandkids' VBS, the pastor's wife works at the hospital here and I asked her if her husband could come and pray and she said yes, so we called. He was down there in 15-20 min. Talked with us, read from the Bible and then prayed with us. I have contacted him a couple of times and I still have yet to hear from him. Our song leader did call and check on us tho.

What is happening? How can we as Christians allow this to happen to God''s people.

I contacted a friend of my dad's last night as she is having a hard time with her husband being in the nursing home now due to a fall and hitting his head. She says that he is out of it most of the time. As I listened I remembered what God had told Fern as she was saying the same thing about her situation. She also has a friend (?) that was in need of his churches help and his wife working at a store would constantly ask if they needed anything to please contact them. Well, guess what? No one showed up. To this day, his church has not bothered to check on them at all.

The Bible says that the devil is walking to and fro seeking whom he may devour. That he is here to kill, steal and destroy. The Bible also says that we have power over the devil and that he is defeated.

Tell me why, as Christians, that we do not take care of our own? The world takes care of theirs. It just amazes me that people say they love you and yet won't stick out a hand of help. We sometimes wonder why more people don't come to God, could this be the reason? Knowing that the world cares more about them than God's people?

I am ashamed to say that I have fallen in this catagory before, but I try hard not to now. I try to remember to always pray for those in need and if I forget their names or their need then I just pray a blanket prayer because God knows what they need.

Please people of God, don't let this happen anymore. Help those who need the help. Don't wait for someone to yell or ask for help. Be observant enough and follow the leading of God and watch for the needs of others. Help take care of God's people. The world seems to be doing a better job than we are. What does that say about us?

I suggest you get it!!! This book was a big eye opener to me on what I was subjecting myself too..in the form of entertainment.

ICarly.. a show to Tweens?

A rather new show on Nickelodeon is ICarly. The kids became quite famous filming short videos things just escalated from there.
The Commercials actually struck my attention this weekend, when both leading ladies (preteens) were fighting over one boy, which they tell you on their website http://www.icarly.com/ How hot he is and tells you to click a link and see for yourself how hot the boy is.

They strike up a deal, the first one to kiss him, wins. Basically even the argument, the one girl accuses the other of her "special helping bra".

Now if you have children, or plan on having children. You know one thing. You want your children to remain pure. You teach them to not get promiscuous with the opposite sex.

But how can this be attained if we let our children watch these kind of shows?
Even on one commercial, one of the girls tells everyone of a new episode. It then cuts to a young man fresh out of the shower in a towel..and she says, "No, not nude, New!" So once again..attention is directed in the wrong kind of attention.

I know when you put on a channel for children, we expect our children to be able to watch shows that are adequate for your age, and yet this is not happening.

Face it.. the devil is after our kids,and he is coming boldly after them.
If you go to the site..even check out their new game. Click on Iplay..and see for yourself this game that is intended for our kids.

To me, I refuse to let my kids watch this one. Teach your kids now what is acceptable, and what is not.. look carefully over that site and see for yourself what are kids are finding in entertainment.

Talk with your kids openly. Explain to them what is acceptable and what is not.

Ray Boltz..Comes out of the closet...

I was broken hearted when I was sent this article from the Washington Blade.

Ray Boltz, whom has sold 4.5 million records admits openly he is gay.
For those of you that do not know who Ray Boltz, you may remember his songs, "Thank You", "The Anchor Holds", along with many other inspirational songs that many have clung to in worship around the world since the 90's.

As I read this article, I was moved to tears, as I have witnessed so many lately that I love, know and respect fall away from the Lord. And yet..as I trailed through the comments left.. the 2nd from the bottom on that article broke my heart even more. A 16 year old boy thanked Ray Boltz..as he too recently told his family and friends he was gay.

I want to point out one particular paragraph from this article,

This is what it really comes down to,” he says. “If this is the way God made me, then this is the way I’m going to live. It’s not like God made me this way and he’ll send me to hell if I am who he created me to be … I really feel closer to God because I no longer hate myself.”

Yes God made us with a choice to do right or to do wrong, but he has also told us to resist temptation and the devil will FLEE FROM YOU.

Jas 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

If we use the above excuse to all of our sins.. I find it hard to swallow God would see things our way.

Ray Boltz says he has fought this for all his life, and he can no longer hide this..he opened up to his family long ago..and to the public this month.

But for now..I want to switch the subject around. Honestly I was troubled about this news last night. As we all tend to put those in leadership and in the ministry on somewhat of a pedastal. And yet I have seen through this breaking story that we are watching many fall away. In the last several years we have watched many in the ministry give into the flesh and lead their lives, and yet many of us still go on to support them. Many will say these people show that you can be both.. like them and still a Christian.

The fact is.. being a Christian is being set apart.. one with Christ. When I reconciled my life with Christ, I made changes. Many things I changed did not come to conviction until I grew closer to the Lord and my walk with Christ strengthened. I found things that displeased God and hindered my testimony had to go as well. I found those friendships I treasured actually hindered even my own walk. I had to choose which to actually pull away from, and then I prayed for Godly friends that would hold me up in prayer..my desire is to daily grow into that image that God wants me to be..not the image I want to be.

I know there will be a great falling away before Christ returns for us..

2Th 2:1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
2Th 2:2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.

2Th 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

And yet..My heart aches for those I love that have not surrendered or even come to Christ yet.

And Yet, last night I learned something so very important. Watching people like Ray, making life changing decisions that are not of God really hurts. But, we need to walk by faith and not by sight.

2Co 5:7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

Sin is sin.... and we are all capable of that very sin. God can not look on our sin and why he gave the very life and blood of his son, Jesus Christ to cover our sins. Yet..we need to turn away from that very temptation. Run from it and yet speak boldly against it. How many more will come out of the closet because Ray Boltz did?

How many more will find the very sin justified because Ray thinks this is "HOW GOD MADE HIM."

Fact is.. God speaks out against this sin many times in the Bible.

Rom 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
Rom 1:19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
Rom 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
Rom 1:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Rom 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
Rom 1:23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
Rom 1:24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
Rom 1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
Rom 1:26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

Do not take the word of Ray Boltz over God. Be careful..
Sin does not discriminate.

Is Your Walk a Delusion?

Isa 66:1 Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?

Isa 66:2 For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.

Isa 66:3 He that killeth an ox is as if he slew a man; he that sacrificeth a lamb, as if he cut off a dog's neck; he that offereth an oblation, as if he offered swine's blood; he that burneth incense, as if he blessed an idol. Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations.

Isa 66:4 I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.

As I was looking at some of the possible reasons that many in the church are not surrendering wholly to God I came to this verse. My Pastor and I were speaking about several of these issues today after church. The conversation came after we had four people come forward and two for sure who had trusted Christ as their Lord and Savior. The thing is that this happened before service began. As I was in the room with one of the young men he was out there preaching with more liberty than he has had in awhile. We spoke about what had happened and how we do not see the body being affected. With the upcoming elections we see it as the potential for judgment upon America and yet many Christians have given into the affairs of the world which are apart from God. We discussed how they sit back and hear the word yet see it as meant for someone else. They are happy with the way things are and don’t want things to change. As I read through Matthew 24, I saw Christ telling what to look for concerning the end times and as I look around today I see it around me. I then turned to 2 Thessalonians chapter 2 and again the comparison is there as I turned to 2 Timothy chapter 3 and again it was there. I then turned to the book of Jude. The more I read the more I wondered how we cannot see things that are before us and then I turned to the book of Isaiah.

It is not the church building that God wants. It doesn’t matter how big it is or what kind of media equipment we have in it or what programs we have going on in the church because these things are nice but they don’t really do anything. It doesn’t matter how much we tithe to the church or how often we volunteer to work at the church or the position that we hold within the church while they are all nice they don’t really mean anything. Now look at verse 2 and see what means something to God. This is the reason we don’t see the power in the church today. It is why the messages do not accomplish anything to the existing congregation and it is why we can’t get them excited about the things of God today. The only way to accomplish revival today is to get people broken and contrite over their sin and their lack of service to Him. In Sunday school we discussed when things seemed to change and we all agreed that a lot of change happened in the 80’s but I am sure it started before then however God tells us here that He has been calling us and no one responded and as He continues to call and none respond He sends them delusions that continue to allow them to think that they are okay. Just listen to the things that they fear. They worry about jobs, about the economy, about their health, their families, their savings, and as the list goes on we can see that none of the things that they mention concern God or the lost. As we come to the end of verse 4 we see that they did the things that do not delight Him. It is not about us but about Him when it comes to our service and our worship.

In Exodus chapter 33 we have God telling the people to go on into the land flowing with milk and honey but He was not going to go with them. Moses replied that he would not go without God and set His tent out away from the people and the presence of the Lord followed Moses and stayed by his tent. Moses would rather stay in that dry desert with God than to go into the promise land without Him and the problem today is that we would rather go into the promise land without Him if it is going to give us a life of ease, a life of comfort and we count the cost as minimal. This is the condition that we currently have in the body of Christ. We go into our churches, sing the praises and worship Him but the problem is that His presence is not even there and what is worse is that it doesn’t even bother us because we are enjoying ourselves. Just what is the importance of chapter 33 of Exodus? It comes on the heels of God giving Moses the moral law. Moses had gone up into the mount to receive the tablets from God and while He was gone his return was delayed so the people built an idol to worship. When Moses came down off the mount the people were naked, dancing around and worshipping the idol.

Today we have gone off worshipping other gods. We claim to worship God yet it is not Him but an image of Him that we have created in our mind. As God called these people stiff-necked so we too are stiff-necked because we refuse to hear Him and refuse His power in our lives. As they denied Him in their release from Egypt, as they denied His continual presence in the cloud by day and fire by night so we deny His miracles over the years. We deny His presence and power in our ability to work, we deny Him His money that He gives us and we deny the sacrifice that was His Son the Lord Jesus Christ and the result is that He has turned us over to our delusions and removed His presence from us. Many times as I walk through our church I can feel sections where the presence of the Holy Spirit is powerful and in other sections are like walking into a brick wall.

Exo 33:1 And the LORD said unto Moses, Depart, and go up hence, thou and the people which thou hast brought up out of the land of Egypt, unto the land which I swore unto Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, Unto thy seed will I give it:

Exo 33:2 And I will send an angel before thee; and I will drive out the Canaanite, the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite:

Exo 33:3 Unto a land flowing with milk and honey: for I will not go up in the midst of thee; for thou art a stiffnecked people: lest I consume thee in the way.

Exo 33:4 And when the people heard these evil tidings, they mourned: and no man did put on him his ornaments.

Exo 33:5 For the LORD had said unto Moses, Say unto the children of Israel, Ye are a stiffnecked people: I will come up into the midst of thee in a moment, and consume thee: therefore now put off thy ornaments from thee, that I may know what to do unto thee.

Exo 33:6 And the children of Israel stripped themselves of their ornaments by the mount Horeb

Exo 33:7 And Moses took the tabernacle, and pitched it without the camp, afar off from the camp, and called it the Tabernacle of the congregation. And it came to pass, that every one which sought the LORD went out unto the tabernacle of the congregation, which was without the camp.

Exo 33:8 And it came to pass, when Moses went out unto the tabernacle, that all the people rose up, and stood every man at his tent door, and looked after Moses, until he was gone into the tabernacle.

Exo 33:9 And it came to pass, as Moses entered into the tabernacle, the cloudy pillar descended, and stood at the door of the tabernacle, and the LORD talked with Moses.

Exo 33:10 And all the people saw the cloudy pillar stand at the tabernacle door: and all the people rose up and worshipped, every man in his tent door.

Exo 33:11 And the LORD spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle.

Notice that when the presence of God departed from the people Moses went out from the people as well. He camped a long way off from them. These people saw the presence of God and still they would continually disobey Him and rebel against Him and we claim that if God would reveal Himself today that we would be better than they. I say we would be no different than they were. God reveals Himself daily and we refuse to acknowledge Him, we refuse to obey Him in even the smallest of things. Also notice that the presence of the Lord descended upon the tabernacle once Moses had entered in. The one thing that protects many of our churches is the presence of one godly man or women and generally when you find one there will always be another who is willing to stand with them, who will not be willing to leave the tabernacle. We see this in verse 11 in Joshua; even when Moses went back out into the people Joshua refused to leave the tabernacle. He was intent on remaining in the presence of the Lord because he felt as if there was no other place to be. If God was there he wanted to be there! He did not want to relinquish God’s presence to anyone or anything. Is it any wonder that later in life he would state “as for me and my house we will serve the Lord.” Every person who is willing to stay in the presence of the Lord needs a Joshua because they keep their focus where it needs to be and that is on the presence of God; for we have too many who are willing to leave His presence for the comforts of the world.

You see we are too much like Israel who turned to their idols because of the delay of Moses. Since it has been so long and Christ has not returned we have determined that He will not return anytime soon and therefore we are content to live in continual disobedience to Him. We do not concern ourselves with the lack of His presence and to be honest I don’t think many of you would notice the feeling of His presence in the first place because you have aligned yourself with the world so much. We whore ourselves out to the latest fashions the newest cars the larger salary, the bigger houses, the 401k, the huge retirement account and the people who can help us obtain these things and then sit back and claim to be blessed by God when all the while He is the furtherest thing from your heart and minds. We dance around naked in the streets, shaming ourselves and His name and then wonder why people think Christians are hypocrites. We claim to be loving and kind to others when very few of us would actually put our hands into our pockets and pull money out to hand to someone in need. We give to the church so we can justify not giving to others claiming we have tithed our 10% when it all belongs to Him anyways and then we holler about the fact that homelessness and poverty is at an all time high. We blame our governing officials just as the children of Israel blamed Moses for all their trials when it was their disobedience that caused their continual wanderings just as the condition of our country is the result of our own disobedience because as He has been calling us we have refused to hear Him because He might actually require us to sacrifice one of our creature comforts. We blame the school systems for our children’s behaviors when we are to blame because we are too busy to truly pay attention to them after all we have the right to have our own time. We lay the blame everywhere but where it truly needs to be which is on ourselves because we refuse to hear Him when He calls. Our failed marriage is not our fault it is because of society or the other person where our spouse was working; our pregnant teens are not our fault it is because they hand out condemns at school; our convicted child is not our fault it is because of rap music; our money troubles are not our fault it is because of who is in Washington; and the list goes on when in reality it is our fault because we refused to put ourselves under God’s authority first and foremost. Then we refused to treat our spouse as God commanded, we allowed our daughters boyfriend to spend the night and just what are we doing allowing them to date at 13 or 14 years old anyways. Our child is a felon because we were too busy making money to be home with them and because we deny authority in our lives how can we expect any difference in them. We have money problems because we are too busy buying things we really don’t need. We refuse God His portion. Our country is in the shape it is in because we refuse to stand up for the principles this country was founded on and have deemed it more important to please the flesh than to please God. Do you really want to see where the problem is start by looking in the mirror for one because until you surrender it is not going to change a thing. Until you seek to be in His presence continually it is only going to get worse and before you know it the trumpets will sound and it is entirely possible that you will be left behind. It is possible that tomorrow will be the last day for you and when you stand before Him He may say depart from me you worker of iniquity instead of enter into my rest my faithful servant..

Newly Ordained...

Recently I heard how easy it is to be ordained into the ministry. From here, you are more then able to start up your own Church, become tax exempt, order degrees (without going to school) and have all the perks of a minister. You can marry people, conduct funerals and even charge for your services.

So I asked a friend if he would indeed be willing t do this for me. He agreed. We set off to find a Christian site that openly talked about the Lord Jesus Christ. I did not want one that promoted that of the world..that would not be a challenge. Withen 24 hours my friend was ordained. They did not even bother to follow up and ask him when he accepted Christ, or any part of his testimony. They only asked for a brief testimony on the online application.

Now with this said, this is how easy it is for a false prophet to become a minister in this world. How sad is that?
This is why it is so important to get into a Bible believing Church. Not a "feel good" Church.

Suppose

Suppose you continue to raise up a great nation from this one man. You lead them to ancient Egypt where they are forced to live together for hundreds of years and become a distinct people. They grow to over a million. Yet they soon forget the miracles you did for their forefathers. At the right time you bring them out of Egypt with an incredible display of mighty miracles. In one final demonstration of your power, you show them that it is only by covering their dwelling with the blood of the most innocent of creatures (a lamb) that they can be spared judgment.

You continue to teach them a pattern. You bring deserved judgment on an evil Egyptian nation and kill the first-born child in every household. You separate your people from the influence of an evil world. You bring them through a sea with a wall of water on their right and a wall of water standing on their left to demonstrate that they are being baptised into a new life. Yet, incredibly, they immediately return to their evil ways. They build idols to other gods. They refuse to enter the land which you have provided. They are a stubborn and rebellious people. But you have a plan.

Suppose you allow your chosen people to spend 40 years wandering in the wilderness in order to teach them many lessons. You teach them that they must depend wholly on you for their sustenance and that they must come back to you each day for refilling. You teach them that they will be healed when they look upon a symbol of evil which is raised up on a wooden pole. You teach them that they must put their sins upon something other than themselves because they can never pay for their own sins. You teach them that life-giving water comes from a rock. You begin to teach them that it is only by the shedding of innocent blood that their sins can be forgiven. Each year they must bring an innocent creature - a spotless lamb - and slit its throat in a gruesome, bloody sacrifice. It makes no sense. But you are laying a pattern. Suppose you finally bring them into a special land made just for them. You delayed until the people living in that land had been given every possible opportunity to turn from their wicked ways. Then you win battle after battle for your people. You show them that you are giving this land to them. You drop walls of impregnable cities...You hurtle meteorites from space to destroy enemy armies...You stop the sun in the sky at their request...You drop giants with a single stone...You destroy entire enemy armies at the request of those who love you. Yet your people refuse to obey you. But it’s okay, you have a plan.

Suppose that time and time again you send messengers to tell your people how to behave. Yet they kill the messengers and always drift back into their evil ways. But you love this people. You tell them over and over again that you are going to send a Savior. You tell them where He will be born. You tell them, hundreds of years before it happens, the exact day when He will enter Jerusalem and declare Himself their eternal King. You tell them that He will become their eternal sacrifice so that they can end their pitiful and hopeless pursuit to work their way into your favor. You describe in minute detail over 300 specific details of what you are about to do for them. Their response is to kill the messengers who bring the promises. But you love these people. Through them you will show all people how much you love them. The time for your plan has come.

The time to complete the plan which You conceived before laying the foundation of the universe...the plan started before the first molecule was created and the first electromagnetic wave appeared... the plan laid out before the first animal was made and you breathed life, spirit, and part of yourself into these people whom You love so much...had arrived. You become a man. Permanently, for all eternity, you become human.

Suppose, at just the right time, thousands of years after history began, it was time to demonstrate to humanity what love means. You did not come to earth as an arrogant ruler... but as a humble servant to wash the feet of others. You did not arrive with fanfare and pomp ... but left the glory of heaven to become a baby born in an animal stall. Your prophets had told of this... but this was not what your people expected.

Suppose that you start your ministry to your chosen people by announcing that you are the Lamb who has come to take away the sins of the world. Surely they will understand the implication after 2000 years of teaching. You demonstrate who you are by healing sickness, restoring blindness, and allowing the lame to walk. You cast out demons which have oppressed your beloved people for millenniums. You show that you control creation by calming storms with a word and walking on water. You create wine from water and food to feed thousands. Yet they still follow you with their stomachs and not their hearts. Your prophets had told them these things would happen... but this was not what your people expected.

Suppose you spent three years patiently teaching your people how to live and who you are. You repeatedly teach them that you are the rock upon which they must build their lives. You hate the arrogant lie that Your children can earn their way into your presence. Your character is justice and justice requires payment for sin. Yet no man can pay the price. Throughout history Satan has deceived your children into believing that religion can save them. You expose the lies and hypocrisy of salvation by religious acts. You hate religion. Your harshest words are for these religious leaders. They are the ones who should know you best...but you are not whom they expected.

Suppose that the climax, which has been building since man first sinned, arrives. You pray for some other way to save mankind from his sin and restore fellowship with the Father. But there is no other way. You allow yourself to be taken. You make no defense in mock trial after mock trial because whom you represent (mankind) is guilty and deserves judgment. You allow Satan to pour his fury out upon you. You are beaten so severely that you hardly look human. You are whipped so severely that your back resembles raw hamburger. Your beard is ripped out, thorns are thrust onto your head, you are slapped, cursed, and spit upon. Nails are driven through your feet and wrists and you are left hanging on a pole to die. You could destroy the entire universe with a word, but you chose instead...to suffer. You become that symbol of sin lifted on a pole which will heal your people. But this is not what they expected.

But suppose this is not the worst. For the first time in eternity, you are separated from the Father. You actually become sin and the part of yourself left in heaven, the Father, pours out his wrath upon you. You pay the price for every sin ever committed by every person in the past, present, and future. The anguish is incomprehensible. Your innocent blood is shed for the sins of humanity. You are the innocent lamb sacrificed for others. You die for them. It is not what they expected ... they do not understand.

Suppose that three days later you rise from the dead to show that...at long last, they can have victory over death. Death has lost its sting. You have shown that there is nothing they can do to bridge the chasm between themselves and their Maker...you have done it all. But it is not free. They must love you more than their wickedness. You have shown them that there is no other way. There is no religious system, or set of rules which will allow them to earn their way to heaven. They have been trying to do this since they first sinned. They have been trying to cover their sins with fig leaves from the very start. You showed them that innocent blood...your blood would be required. But is was not what they expected.

The plan was finally complete. The path back to you is open to all who are willing to accept it. You have done everything you could possibly do to restore fellowship between sinful man and yourself. You have satisfied the perfect justice required of your nature. You took the penalty which they deserved. You have shown absolute mercy by providing a bridge over the chasm between sinful man and a perfect God. You have made it so simple that anyone can understand it. You have done it all. But it was not what they expected.

Suppose that this is history. It is Christianity. It is reality.

Evolution: Approaching the Subject

Any of you that have teen age children will probably have a difficult time approaching the subject with them because they have already been thoroughly indoctrinated in the subject. You may feel extremely nervous about it because you may feel as if you do not know enough about the subject or about creation for that matter. You may be nervous about having proof for creation versus evolution, especially if you watch the Learning Channel you will see their supposed factual evidence supporting evolution and you can believe that your children have had this information provided to them from an early age. So how do you discuss it? First off if you haven’t been on your knees before God, surrendering your life to Him, I would not even attempt to discuss it with them because as I stated before if they do not see the obedience in you they are not going to believe what the Bible has to say, but if you have surrendered and committed your life to Him the next step is being familiar with the creation story in Genesis. If you have a study Bible use the reference verses to look up other verses that may have relevance. You can also go to Ken Hamm’s “Answers in Genesis” web site to help you in this area.

Whenever I speak to anyone concerning evolution they are always bringing up proof that supports evolution and that if the earth was as young as the Bible claims then there would be sufficient evidence to support it. The problem is not the evidence because the very evidence that they have to prove their point is the very evidence that we have to support creation the difference is the way the evidence is viewed. The important thing is to never lose your cool when discussing it when they can’t seem to see it your way. This is extremely important when it is your child because you are trying to reveal Christ through you. Remember that we are told that the world cannot discern the scriptures because they are spiritually discerned, so do not start by quoting a bunch of scripture. Now if you have younger children reading the creation story is a good way to start teaching them creation.

Much of science is best guess when it comes to determining the answer, while you run test you will always have a percentage of inaccuracy within the test to obtain the desired result so the way that the test is conducted depends upon the result that is desired. If all of my conclusions are based upon the fact that the earth is billions of years old then I know that the different strata layers depict age so if I have retrieved a fossil from the layer that I have already determined to be millions of years ago and I have run a test that shows it to be only a few thousand years old then I am going to add a percentage of inaccuracy to accomplish my desired age of several million years. Now on the creation side because I know from God’s word that the Bible is true then I do not have to add those percentages because the result is accurate. You see the evidence is proof yet it is the presupposed result that generates the difference.

Evolutionists believe in natural selection—that is real science, as you observe it happening. Well, creationists also believe in natural selection. Evolutionists accept the science of genetics—well, so do creationists.

‘However, here is the difference: Evolutionists believe that, over millions of years, one kind of animal has changed into a totally different kind. However, creationists, based on the Bible’s account of origins, believe that God created separate kinds of animals and plants to reproduce their own kind—therefore one kind will not turn into a totally different kind.

‘Now this can be tested in the present. The scientific observations support the creationist interpretation that the changes we see are not creating new information. The changes are all within the originally created pool of information of that kind; sorting, shuffling or degrading it. The creationist account of history, based on the Bible, provides the correct basis to interpret the evidence of the present—and real science confirms the interpretation.’

My point is that if we Christians really understood that all evidence is actually interpreted on the basis of certain presuppositions, then we wouldn’t be in the least bit intimidated by the evolutionists’ supposed ‘evidence.’ We should instead be looking at the evolutionist’s (or old-earther’s) interpretation of the evidence, and how the same evidence could be interpreted within a biblical framework and be confirmed by testable and repeatable science.

In my discussions I attempt to get them to let go of those biased opinions in order to see the results as they are. No matter how much evidence I was to provide for them, they will never see it from the Bible’s viewpoint therefore I must allow God to work in order to break down those presuppositions. When they realize that their logic does not make sense then they will change direction of the conversation to prove their point in another area and even go as far as denying their own theory when discussing morality. In my discussion with the atheist when he had no where else to go he then brought up the legitimacy of the existence of Christ and when that didn’t work he proceeded to call me a liar. He then changed direction and stated that even if there was proof of Christ and His miracles there was no proof that He was the Son of God.

As you look at the many changes in direction it is only to get you first of all angry so that you might say something that you shouldn’t say therefore they have you because if Christ was really the Son of God and you believed in Him the way the Bible says that you should then you wouldn’t say the things that you say, which enforces their theory of evolution with reverting to the animal tendencies. The other reason this is done is to get you to throw out one of the debunked evidences of creation such as the moon dust. You can find these on the Answers in Genesis website. The reason I say they are debunked is because again they utilize the presupposed results, in other words I can run the same test and come up with an answer that would also support evolution in the result. Again if you fall into the trap you will be ridiculed and any progress you had made up until that point will be lost and you will have to start all over again.

The one thing I love is to get them to begin thinking beyond the limits of their teachings, when they have to reach outside of the box in order to provide an answer it is like watching the light bulb go off in their head. The same thing can be realized in a text message because the order of their words reveals the thoughts going into what they are writing. In dealing with your teen it can be the same experience. The best way to discuss evolution with them is in nature itself because when they see the remarkable creation before their very eyes it is hard to deny. Of course the alone time with them is very important for the discussion because it shows them that they are important to you. The other thing that you have to realize is that by forgoing what they have been indoctrinated with at school they are going to be giving up a lot preconceived rights. They will have to begin being responsible for their own actions, which you will have to enforce. The purpose is to draw them to Christ not just remove evolution from their thinking. Again Christ does the work not you; your job is to be obedient to Him. Once we see them begin to understand it then makes it easier to show them the gospel because until this point it is important to remember that to them God has no power and Jesus was just a good man and not the Son of God. They do not see their sins as exceedingly wicked nor do they see their need for a Savior but hopefully with the aid of the Holy Spirit you can plant the seed that God uses to draw them to Him.

Evolution: Indoctrinating Our Children, Part 2

When I first began writing this series I knew that it was by the leading of the Holy Spirit and all that I was doing was being obedient to His direction. The more I wrote the more understanding I myself was getting in relationship to the message He was providing me however there was still some inner conflict that I was facing. I felt that while I knew I was being obedient was I really following His leading or was I putting too much of myself into the text that I was writing. Over the last couple of days I have been in a discussion with an atheistic Jew who also believes in evolution. When He kept trying to push me into providing proof I insisted that any proof that I would provide he would not accept because it did not fit into his presupposed concept of acceptable proof so he attempted to turn the discussion into proof of Jesus and while I gave him the facts that He was mentioned historically and through government documents of the era, he still refused that evidence. Feeling frustrated I found the Answers in Genesis website and lo and behold I was given conformation with what I was writing. I quickly said thank you to the Father and began reading some of what Ken Hamm had written and found that much of his writings coincide with what I felt led to write.

You see while we have not actually discussed evolution in theory we have discussed the effects of it; the reason being is so that we can understand how our failure to put Christ first allows evolution to sink into our children’s hearts. Let me share with you some notes from Ken’s website Answers in Genesis.

So I said:

‘Pastors, here’s the problem. The students know that evolution and its teachings contradicts the Bible’s teaching about Adam and Eve. Then they come to your religion classes and hear you teach from the Bible. However, since they think that the Bible is an outdated book which has been disproved by science, why should they be interested in listening to what you have to say?’

I suggested that before they could really teach effectively about the other issues, they needed to get the students’ attention that the Bible was the infallible Word of God, and really could be trusted.

After all, if the first book in the Bible can’t be trusted in their eyes—why should any other? As one lady put it to me 20 years later:

‘When my church told me that I had to accept evolution, and that Genesis couldn’t be believed as written, I asked, when does God start telling the truth, then?’

Working with the pastors, we devised a series of lessons that showed the students that evolution was just a belief—there weren’t any ape-men—evolutionists had not proved the earth was billions of years old—there were major problems with their theories about the origin of the solar system.

When the pastors presented these lessons—they were astonished. The students sat up and listened. They were extremely interested—and they had lots of questions. ‘What about carbon dating, then? Where do dinosaurs fit in? Why don’t our teachers tell us this information?’

What a difference it made! Many of the students showed intense interest in spiritual things. Later, when the pastors began teaching about Jesus in the New Testament, they had much more success in getting these young people to listen and take note.

At the time, I didn’t realize that I was involved in developing a method of evangelism that I later came to understand as ‘Creation Evangelism.’ Not only is this based on the Bible, but it is one of the most powerful methods for reaching today’s world with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Do you see the importance here? It is not enough to tell them the Bible is true we have to live as if it is true. If they don’t see it in us they are not going to believe it to be true. They have more than enough evidence in the world from evolution that tells them that God doesn’t exist and the bible can’t be trusted. So even if they had been raised in the church they are not going to instantly believe the bible especially if you the parent are not practicing obedience to God. Before you claim that you can believe in both let me show you what Ken had to say about that.

Some are eager to point out that in cases like the Inquisition, and more recently clergy involved in sex abuses against children, ‘the church’ is hypocritical. Of course, the Bible strongly condemns these and other forms of crime, and those acting in these ways are inconsistent with what the Bible teaches.

However, evolutionists who argue this way are being inconsistent with their own philosophy. Because if there is no Creator who sets absolute rules, such as ‘You shall not murder’ (which is what the Nazis did to the Jews, totally consistent with their evolutionary beliefs), then the only rules that exist are what we as a society make up.

A theistic evolutionist may profess belief in a rule-giving Creator, but because of his/her de facto rejection of a reliable revelation, how can the rules be known for certain?

Simply put, if the Bible misleads in Genesis, how do we know when it can be trusted elsewhere, including its moral teaching? Jesus said (John 3:12): ‘I have spoken to you about earthly things and you do not believe; so how will you believe if I speak of heavenly things?’

This is the very thing that I had pointed out before however I feel it does a better job explaining why the two don’t mix. I can’t help but wonder if this is why so many refuse to surrender their lives to Christ. Let’s look at what evolution takes away from us when allowed to be believed in the schools or in the home. This becomes even more dangerous in a Christian home where parents do not believe in the Bible as God’s inspired word or when they include evolution into their belief of the bible.

Consider this:

A gospel without the message of the Creator, and the origin of sin and death, is a gospel without the foundational knowledge that is necessary to understand the rest of the gospel. Without this information—who then is Jesus Christ? Why did He need to die? Where did sin come from? Why can we say that all have sinned? Why do we die?
A gospel without the message of Christ crucified and raised from the dead is a gospel without power. As Paul said: ‘And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins’ (1 Corinthians 15:17). The only reason our personal sins can be forgiven and our relationship with our Creator be restored, is because of what Christ did on the cross. The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ is central to the gospel.
A gospel without the message of the new heavens and earth, is a gospel without hope. What point is there to a gospel with no future sinless state? Because of sin and the judgment of the Curse, the creation is ‘groaning’ (Romans 8:22). There is death, sickness and suffering all around us. However, we need to understand that death is an intrusion. In 1 Corinthians 15:26, Paul states it this way: ‘The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.’

I would like to include a fourth point here because I believe it to the key point which enforces the gospel message.

4. A gospel message without a life to enforce the message destroys the very message it attempts to

establish. This is the very message of Christ when He stated in Mark 8:34 And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, “Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.” And again in Matthew 10:38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.

Consider this; from very early records we see that man has shown a high degree of culture and understanding in law and moral/societal behaviour. Dating from the 17^th century before Christ is the Code of Hammurabi, a Babylonian king who, according to secular historians, came to power about 1750 bc. This set of laws, governing situations such as marriage, commerce and theft is generally regarded as one of the best and earliest written codes of law for a society. The proper functioning of law depends on the existence of an ultimate authority. Speaking of a society which was crumbling because of a lack of authority, the Bible says: ‘In those days there was no king in Israel: every man did that which was right in his own eyes’ (Judges 21:25).

The Ten Commandments are considered, even by many non-Christians, to be a foundational set of rules for moral and ethical living. But if they were written by only a man, then they are no more ‘right’ than someone else’s opposite view. In rejecting Biblical absolutes, will modern law eventually cease from allowing criminals to be branded with ‘wrong-doer’ in favour of the more evolutionarily consistent concept of a ‘socially-unacceptable choice’? Some evolutionists have excused even rape on the grounds that males’ genes and ‘less civilized’ evolutionary past predispose them to such actions.

As the evolutionary foundation of no right or wrong overtakes the Biblical concept of personal responsibility, we can expect people to have less defined boundaries in both young and adult life, resulting in increasing social and family problems.

Can you see the importance of seeking God’s face daily as a part of the training up your child in the way that he should go? Since we have allowed evolution to exist, it is up to us to not only teach our children that it is only a theory but to also live as God has commanded us to live. This is not a salvation by works but evidence of our salvation by our works.

Uncovering Hidden Effects of Evolution

As we continue I want to look at one of the effects of Evolution; since evolution in essence denies God or His power it opens up the thinking that we are inherently able to determine for ourselves what is basically good or evil and since these differ from one person to the next just as they do within nature then we are unable to negate another persons beliefs thus the introduction of tolerance. In being tolerant one must accept another’s beliefs regardless of the harm it may to do that person or others around them. It is also indoctrinating others beliefs into your own to create a belief system that will; in their thinking; enhance you as a person. The question then becomes how does one generate this thinking into the general public and especially into the bible believing community? With the general public it was easy because with the teaching of evolution it was obvious that by eliminating a supernatural power, (God) you could essentially establish your own moralistic community in which everyone could do what was right in their own eyes and because man has evolved from animals any behavior that was deemed against the moral laws of the government could be blamed on the influence of their surroundings; and if that is the case, we can then soften those laws through the court system. This concept worked excellently for them and they were soon able to either forego sentences with probation or the transgressor was able to receive psychological evaluations which ultimately proved their case because in most cases the patient recalled suppressed memories. Whether these memories were true or false did not matter because they provided the ammunition that was needed to wage war on those who did not readily accept their new belief system.

This new battle needed even more ammunition then what they had expected so in order to wage a good battle they had to strike at the core of their belief system, which was God. Since they already had evolution as a way to show how the earth could be created without God the next step is to remove God from the school system. When they accomplished that it was easy for them to promote their new belief system and many of the students eagerly accepted it because it diminished the power of the parents. They suddenly had rights that they never imagined and because sin is exciting they eagerly ran head first to these new found rights and while they had found some success it still was not enough. There had to be a way to gain a greater foothold. They needed to be able to establish laws that would protect their new belief system and without a greater foothold that would be impossible to do. They had to soften the views of the holdouts and the only way to do that was through media. What people watch on television and how they spent leisure time greatly affected their thinking, so if they could create media that would seem innocent enough in context they could eventually cause them to drop their guard; therefore allowing them to ultimately change their thought process and during that transformation they could install their new laws.

However; how can you change a person’s viewpoint on something that has long been seen as wrong or dabbling with evil? The answer is you change the perception by making it seem unbelievable or by changing the behaviors of the person performing the act by making them inherently good in deed even though their act is against someone’s beliefs. Hence you have now accomplished a difference in their view of the act. For example if someone has had a hard life and nothing ever seems to go right for them. They are a loving father or mother but they lose their jobs and begin stealing to provide food for their families and then they begin providing for their friends and before long you find yourself cheering for them and when they finally get caught you secretly hope they get let off. Now all along they had a neighbor who tried to help them by providing a job but he wanted them to clean up a little bit. The position required them to have contact with people who would view the way she dressed as inappropriate or the smell of alcohol on their breathe as unacceptable yet we find ourselves pointing our finger at the neighbor for requiring such things.

Let’s take a look at another situation. You have a young boy who is rather plain. He doesn’t fit in with many people and is kind of a misfit. Unbeknown to him he has magical powers that are revealed to him by a friend of his parents who happens to be a wizard and he is invited to a school especially for kids like him but even there he is outcast by the more popular students so he develops these powers and while he never outright attacks his tormentor he does spells to make him look stupid. The premises is that there is good magic and bad magic and one shouldn’t judge the act but the person who is performing the act regardless of where their powers came from. Of course this opens a huge problem because it encourages those who are not readily accepted by peers to seek out a way to obtain these powers and parents unwittingly allow them to not only watch these shows but read the books. The reality is that these powers do exist and they do not come from God but that is a topic for another time the purpose of this is to open your eyes as to how we allow our hearts and minds to be changed from what God tells us in His word to be true.

As you allow them to change your thinking you ultimately become more desensitized to the things of the world and you then begin to accept more and more of their ideology. As this happens you start walking further and further away from God until you no longer believe that He really requires a daily relationship with you and is happy with you living the way you are living as long as you mention Him now and then in a quick prayer or go to church on special occasions; after all He created nature for us to enjoy so what is wrong with worshiping Him at the beach on Sunday instead of church?

As I come to a close here you may be wondering how this applies to evolution? I want you to stop and think about that for a moment. Send me your thoughts on how it either applies or does not apply and I will attempt to answer all of them. Let me assure you of this one thing. Everything mentioned here does stem from the belief in evolution and the question is; how does it affect you.

Introduction to Destruction

As I have read the post here I have not only had my heart broken but I have also became quite angry at the insensitivity of others reading these post. I see the same response from many in congregations across America today. Could it be that we have desensitized ourselves to the things of God that when we read these things or hear the preaching of the word of God that we sit back and tell ourselves that it really doesn't concern us. It is like we think that we are okay and we don't have to worry about these things because we go to church every Sunday and we live in a nice subdivision. These things don't happen to people in our class; they only happen to those who are living in projects or to those who don't go to church. Let me assure you that the influence that is being reported here will affect you and your children much quicker than any one else and here is the reason. We have walked away from God, telling him that, He is fine for Sunday but as for the rest of the week, they belong to us. When scripture told us that we rob God in tithes and offerings it was not merely talking about the money we give but also the time that we need to spend with Him through out the rest of the week. When our children do not see God in us the rest of the week, they are being taught by us that He is not really all that important. We are saying that it is good to have a belief in something because it makes you a good person and this is where the worlds teaching comes in and takes over the job that we are supposed to have.

Look back at the Old Testament at the children of Israel. When they did not live for God their children chased after other gods; they took wives from the world and did what was right in their own eyes. When we allowed evolution to be taught in the schools as fact and not theory it was easy for them to grab the church kids who came from good homes. They were easy to manipulate because they did not see God in their home every day of the week. They did not see Him being important enough for their parents to have a daily relationship with Him and therefore it was easy for them to accept the concept that they were simply following a tradition instead of the living TRUE God.

Pro 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

The bible was not talking about insuring that your kids get a good education and make lots of money. It is speaking of raising them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. As a horse trainer I know that in order for me to properly train a horse it has to be done on a continual basis. it has to be a daily exercise in order to get the desired results. All of the athletes in the Olympics today will attest to this very same concept and yet we as Christians refuse to practice these things with our children. If they graduate from the best college and are making lots of money it does not mean a thing if they are living in habitual sin because the moment they die they are going to be standing before God and are going to have to give an account for their lives and who are they going to point the finger at. You see if you are telling them that they can't listen to Marilyn Manson because his music is bad yet every time you get into the car together you have Styx or Queen playing on the radio are you really sending him the proper message or if you have Faith Hill or Montgomery Gentry blaring on your radio; it is not sending him the proper message because to them you are just not being tolerant of their music just as your parents were not tolerant of the music you listened to at home. You see the daily training is not there.

Now does this mean that the child raised in a home where God is first and foremost won't rebel? No, it doesn't but there will be a less likely chance that they will. If they see the presence of God daily in your life they are less likely to fall into the teachings of the world. The failure of doing this is what evolution thrives on because it offers an explanation that makes sense to them when they do not see God working in your live daily. Let me attempt to make this a little simpler for you. If God is not powerful enough to keep you from listening to secular music then He must not be powerful enough to speak the world into existence therefore He must have used evolution to create the world or He simply does not exist and since He does not exist then there is no judgment for sin and I can live as I want and do what makes me happy regardless, because without judgment there is no condemnation so why should I go to church where there are rules set up by man. I hope that you can see the reasoning here. It is simply an attempt to justify ones actions and behaviors by eliminating God who to them is not worthy of their attention since He is not worthy of your devotion.

If this is getting you angry I hope that you realize it is the Holy Spirit working and not me for my intention is not to glorify myself but God. These are not my words but the words I have felt led to write based upon the scriptures. I have a series that I have put together involving evolution and how it is destroying our homes but more devastating than evolution is our continuance to refuse to surrender our lives to our Savior. The purpose behind the series is to show us how our disobedience is allowing the theory to shut out the truth.

2Ch 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

My prayer is this, that you will allow God to speak to you through this and that it would cause you to draw closer to Him.

First of all let me say this. I grew up in the time when the Beatles, Kiss, Ted Nugget and the such were popular but with the 1970's came a bolder music than ever before, then proceeded to get worse as time went along. The parents of the 1950's kids thought that was bad, I can just imagine what they would be thinking 20-30 yrs. later.

I have recently read a story about one of the most sickest people of all time, in my opinion. I will base my story on facts as I go.

This sick and demented person goes by the stage name of Marilyn Manson. The devil's side kick. I make NO apologises and if this article offends you, GOOD.

This man believes in satan from the word go. He preaches it to our young as well as the older generation. He is grabbing them right and left. He is not ashamed of anything he does and flaunts it around daring others to do something about it. Manson promotes hatred to the Christian people and does everything he can to try to destroy them. He cusses the Christians, spits on pictures of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and even tears up the Holy Bible, while on stage. He even has his band members drink his urine through straws. Is there something wrong with this picture?

Marilyn Manson promotes bisexual, homosexuality, just sex period. Apparently this man has no morals at all. He has been known to have sex with his band members while on stage and pees on his audience.

He is not only cruel to humans but also to animals as well. He smokes human bones and encourages his audience to rip up animals and spread the blood over their bodies.

NOTE: I am writing this as a Christian woman and and a human. I do not hate this man, I detest what he stands for. Anything against God is for the devil. Anything against God or his people is monsterous and is what is known as SIN. I will NOT give the devil any kind of credit by capitalizing his name in any way, shape or form.

This evil person claims to be a preacher or recruiter for the " Church of Satan". Well what do you know? The devil is trying to copy God. Manson stands for all that is evil, disgusting and vile. There is not a good bone in his bone. He is known for burning Bibles and giving "alter calls" for satan. He wants kids to denounce Jesus and turn their backs on him and follow satan and look at him (Manson) as the antichrist. He has also taken the cross of Jesus and deficated on it, as well as urinated on pictures of Jesus. He not only destroys property but he destroys lives as well. Here is a quote from one of the fathers of a boy that was killed at Columbine High School, " I think he promotes suicide, and with him promoting suicide, he encourages people to kill as many people as they can before committing suicide--very similar to what happened at Columbine". Manson also stated that in his Denver concert was going to be in honor of the two teenagers who were responsible for the deaths and stated that they, the killers were true heros.

In his "Holy Wood" cd he mocks the crucifixion of Jesus and goes even further and commits blasphemy by saying that this is " Jesus rotting on a cross." All of his songs promote filth of some kind, but he really takes it in two songs, if you want to call them that, Born again and Lamb of God. These two songs are full of hateful blasphemy.

We as Christian wear braclets that have the letters WWJD, standing for What would Jesus do, Manson takes them and sells them saying it stands for "We want Jesus dead". Well, here is the funny part. He still has "Jesus" in it. He can't get rid of that, no matter how hard he tries. Jesus is Jesus and will always be Jesus.

Marilyn Manson has been arrested numerous times and has been banned from 13 states. We as Christians need to stand together and get rid of this kind of trash once and for all. It has also been said that he has thrown drugs out for the people.

Let me say this. If you are for Marilyn Manson, you are against God. Theres is NOTHING good about this person. He stands for everything that God is against.

We all need to ban together and pray for this man that he will see the light of Jesus and come away from the grip of the devil. I was talking to a friend of mine as well as my husband and I am afraid that unless God gets a hold of this guy, he WILL roast in hell. My husband and I agree that given every thing that this guy has done, he probably has blamphemed against the Holy Ghost as well, which according to the Bible IS NOT forgivable.

Stand up for what is right and lets tell the guy that we will no longer take his trash. Parents, go through your kid's cd's and look to see what is in them, listen to them, and if they DO NOT promote God all the way through. Take a hammer and smash them to bits and mail them back to Manson and let him know just what you think of his music or the lack there of. Refuse to allow your money or that of your children to be spent on pure filth such as this.

I truly hope and pray that this offends you. As I was reading this article on Manson, I was sickened that people would want to follow this guy. Made my skin crawl and my head ache at all the filth and trash that this man stands for. There is an old saying, " The truth hurts for only a little while, but a lie will hurt for ever". Upon Entering the gaming store, I told them I needed to get a list of what to get my kids for Christmas.. I told them my son is more so into Video Games, but had NO IDEA what to get him.

So they started telling me what the hot sellers are..
1. Guitar Hero (in the last one..you sell your soul to the devil Lou, whom is your manager) We will cover this game a bit later.
2. Grand Theft Auto.. Not even rated for kids..this game is heavy with violence and sexual Content.

The list went on and on..but you get the idea.. NOT EVEN ONCE did he ask how old my children are..

Now..imagine a mom that really did not know anything about gaming?? What she would be putting into the hands and minds of her children.....

This is Why I have started this blog..to educate you of what your kids are watching and playing and even listening to.

As a youth, we loved being mall rats. We knew what stores we wanted, and did not in any way want to dress like a adult..

So today I went to the mall with one thing on my mind..I wanted to see what the kids were watching, playing with, and listening to.

I believe one of my biggest shocks came from Hot Topics. This store is aimed at Teens.. has some really killer teen clothing..etc. (www.hottopics.com)

Upon looking at the T-shirts, we did not stay long.

One T-shirt had a demon on the front of it, and the saying "Lamb Of God."
Another T-shirt had a cross with a "X" through it, saying "Bad Religion"

Now..I came home and did my research.. Folks.. your kids are listening to these bands.

These are Heavy Metal Bands..and nope..far from Christian in all shapes form and Fashion.

Upon walking my kids to the bus stop this morning, I was horrified to find a group of middle school kids smoking! I kid you not..smoking.. lighting him.. passing the cigerettes around like they were gold.

Now...Questions I want to know...
1. Who bought them?
2. Does their parents know?
3. Why are these young kids not being checked up on by their parents.

Twelve-year-olds, whose parents smoked, were more than two times as likely to begin smoking cigarettes on a daily basis between the ages of 13 and 21 than children, whose parents didn't use tobacco, the study concludes. The researchers interviewed individuals at ages 13, 14, 15, 16, 18 and 21. The group was nearly equally divided among males and females. Forty-six percent were white, 24 percent were black, 21 percent were Asian Americans, 6 percent were American Indians and three percent were from other ethnic backgrounds.

The study found differences in daily smoking rates both by gender and racial background. Over all, 37 percent of the individuals reported daily smoking by age 21, of which 42 percent were males and 32 percent females, according to the study. Whites (43 percent) were more likely to have begun regular smoking by 21 than blacks (35 percent) and Asian Americans (24 percent

I am a Pastor and a Parent, I can sit here all night long and give you example after example of one tragic story after another about how Rock Music and it's wicked influence has trapped, snared, enslaved, destroyed, bound up, hung, shot, murdered, beat, stranded, ruined and ended the lives of untold numbers.

I could tell you of Alice, who wound up taking a razor blade and tried to cut her face off, Mark who hung himself in his own closet while his parents slept in the next room. The 11 year old who took a gun and blew his head off just because the "Music Told Him Too". The millions of teenage suicides that take place every year and we never hear of them!

The world in which we live is a wicked place. We as parents have a great responsibility to watch over our children, to protect them from the world, the flesh and the devil. I am glad to have the opportunity to speak out about this particular issue... It is one that has plagued me most of my own life, you are not alone in standing against this thing.

Wizards of Waverly Place

I was asked today to show someone if Disney's "Witches of Waverly Place" was indeed a good show for kids. This person lets his kids watch it..and he told me if I could prove this show was not good for kids..he would not allow them to watch the show..

So with that said, let us look at the show.

"These days, wizards and witches are extremely popular. The Harry Potter series is one of the most popular book series. The movies are also really popular. Of course, there's also The Lord of the Rings Triology. Disney has aired the movies Twitches and Twitches Too. Wizards of Waverly Place is about three teenage witches who have to learn their magic. The oldest is Justin, the middle is Alex, and the youngest is Max. The only girl is Alex. They have wizard classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays which are taught by their father. Their father makes sure that this is an obligation before any other activities. It is not clear if their friends no if they are wizards. However, the bullies do not know that they are wizards. Of course, they still deal with normal teenage issues. They go to normal public school and deal with friends and bullies. Normal teens have to deal with the stuff as well. However, as wizards, they have to deal with this and learning magic. Being that there are three wizards in one family, there are also many sibling conflicts. They also get themselves into trouble. The thing is that they can even get themselves into extra trouble by using the magic that they do know. The series does not start off with them not knowing that they are wizards. They already know that they are wizards. They also already know some of the magic spells they can perform. They are even already used to many of the wizarding objects. Of course, the spells are mainly nonsense made up of silly Latin, other languages, and English with funny word endings. What is great is that Disney Channel makes fun of the "wizard spells," by having the stars of the show make fun of them by showing silly ways of doing "magic," tricks, and other illusions. It makes children go, "Hey, I can do that!" and does not make them want to do the fake magic quite as much. The series is another original Disney Channel series. As of viewing the first episode, it is full of comedy like the other original Disney Channel series. This is definitely going to be comedy that is fun for the whole family to watch."

Look Closely at Verse 32.. KNOWING the judgment of God.. That they who commit these sins are worthy of death (My paraphrase) (they know the people that do these acts are worthy of death.. NOT ONLY do the same.. But they take pleasure in watching others do them......

TV!!!!!!!!!!!! The shows we watch..we Know.. Witches will not be in heaven..Fornicators will NOT be in heaven..and yet.. how often do we watch this on TV and NOT turn the channel......

So.. watching this lovely Disney Show about these sweet teenagers whom are witches being taught by their dad.. that will not be in heaven..and taking a form of amusement or entertainment in it.. WE ARE ARE GUILTY OF The same thing and will be held accountable.

Now..I ask you.. is this something you want to watch?? Do you find delight in this?? Do you want your children think it is cool to cast spells? And finally, if Jesus were sitting with you in your home when the show came on..would you turn it on and watch it in front of him??

Harry Potter. Now that is a very popular series of books and movies. I myself liked to watch these movies, never thinking really about what it entailed. Just for entertainment is why I watched them.

I never really thought about the implications and the doors that these books and movies would and could open.
I have been teased by my son and two of my dear Christian friends about these movies and like most people got kind of offended about it all. Even now my son gets onto me about Harry Potter and the message that it sends out. How can something that looked to inviting be so wrong for you? Well, let me tell ya, while doing the research for this article, I have discovered a lot that is wrong with these books and movies.
I have found that this is a real good way for satan to get into our lives, not realizing it, and bringing havoc to our lives. We may not notice it at first but sooner or later it will become evedent in our lives.

I pray that this article will be a blessing to you and open up your eyes to the ways that satan can use seemingly innocent things to bring us down, even Christians such as I. My friend asked me to write this article, knowing that I liked Harry Potter, in hopes that by it coming from someone who did like him, that you would see that even we Christians can be sucked in by eye candy.

Harry Potter is written for imagination and fantasy when in reality it covers up the true stories of witchcraft. It brings out the true training and work that it takes to become a witch.

What Harry learns he immediately applies it to his life plus he believes that everything he thinks, says and feels is the result of magic. His foundation is in magic through will. This extention of will is the foundational occult truth.

The truth is, that everything that we do, say, or think comes from our belief system, what ever that may be.

Harry's writer has made sure that we all feel sympathy for Harry situation. Many of us may have come from such a background and can and do feel for him. We search for things that will make us whole, wanted, accepted and loved. This is where a lot of the world's problems come into play. Sex, alcohol, drugs just to name a few along with witchcraft. Harry comes from parents who love him and are killed into a home full of complaining, judging and being made fun of. All of a sudden at a tender age of 11 years old he is accepted into the Hogwarts School. There he becomes popular, which we all desire, and is being taught the ways of a witch. At the very beginning, Harry is learning that instant gratification can be found in most areas of his life. He is taught situation ethics rather than absolute values of right and wrong.

These books and movies are teaching our children that instant gratification is easier to obtain that it is to use our God given abilities to reason the rights and wrongs of our situations. Although instand gratification is what we all want, is it practical in most cases? I think not.

Each time that Harry casts a spell and we watch and listen to that spell we are opening up a door for satan to step in and do whatever he can to destoy our lives. Witchcraft is a very real thing and not something to be taken lightly. People are very open to suggestion and these books and movies suggest a lot. These books also teach revenge. Although Harry is trying to right the wrongs that was done to his family and to conquer evil, revenge is not the way to go. There are far better ways of doing it. God's way. Let the revenge be his.

In Harry Potter, the author is teaching our children the names of real demons. Now that is truly scary. These characters are NOT made up, they are very real. When real witches go to meetings and the such, they greet one another "Blessed be" and when they depart they say " The force be with you". As one real witch says in an article, which I will provide, says that the "Force" are satan. There is no good side of the force that overcomes the bad. The blood of Jesus is the only thing that will destroy evil, which is th satanic "Force" Satan and his witchcraft is only meant for evil, even though he will tell you differently.

Please by all means do your own research and check into what your children are watching on tv. As many of us have jobs outside the home, we look to the tv to entertain our children. Great babysitter to some of us. Look into what they are watching, filling them full of and how it is affecting their lives.

Like most of you, I saw no harm in Harry Potter, at least at first. I now find a lot wrong with it. I do not want to be guilty in filling my grandchildren with this junk.

Do we want to be judged on the things that we have done right in his eyes, go into Heaven to live with him forever or be judged for the wrong things and get told by our Lord and Savior "Go away, I don't know you" then burn in Hell for all eternity, wishing that we could change all the things that we did wrong in our lives. Now is the time to change. Don't let another day go by. Change the things that we can change.

I hope and pray that this scares you into action. Don't let your children suffer at the devil's hands. Change them and mold them into a person that Jesus wants them to be. One of my very own daughters told me one time that if school had been like Hogwarts she would never have left school. Yes, it does look exciting and I can see where this would interest children all over the world. My daughter was right when she said that. She meant it, as she has a learning disability and finds it hard to read and retain what she reads. She learns better by "hands on". How much more hands on can you get?

The courts in our great America have banned religion and prayer in our schools. Trying to get rid of our 10 Commandments that our country was founded on and destroy our very foundation and yet witchcraft is being allowed in these areas. Library's for one. Every school in America has a library and I am sure that Harry Potter is in each of them, poisoning our childrens minds with trash. Teachers are using Harry Potter in their classrooms in order to intice our children to learn.

Please, be aware of what your children are reading and watching as well as playing on the game cubes, x-box, wii and the such. The devil is not limited to just books and tv.

I want to give my son and two dear friends for following God's leading and opening my eyes to the dangers of this movie.

Nebraska Democratic State Senator Ernie Chambers has decided to go straight to the top in an effort to stop natural disasters from befalling the world.
Chambers filed a lawsuit against God in Douglas County Court Friday afternoon, KPTM Fox 42 reported.

The suit asks for a "permanent injunction ordering Defendant to cease certain harmful activities and the making of terroristic threats."
The lawsuit identifies the plaintiff as, "the duly elected and serving State Senator from the 11th Legislative District in Omaha, Nebraska."
Chambers also cites that the, "defendant directly and proximately has caused, inter alia, fearsome floods, egregious earthquakes, horrendous hurricanes, terrifying tornados, pestilential plagues..."
Chambers says he isn't suing God because he has any kind of beef with the deity. He says the suit is to fight possible laws restricting the filing of frivolous lawsuits. Chambers tells KPTM FOX 42 News that his lawsuit is in response to bills brought forth by other state senators to try and stop lawsuits from being filed.
"The Constitution requires that the courthouse doors be open, so you cannot prohibit the filing of suits," Chambers says. "Anyone can sue anyone they choose, even God."
Chambers bases his ability to sue God, as, "that defendant, being omnipresent, is personally present in Douglas County."

Now with that said, By one man sin entered into the world, because of sin, we have the actions of others, crime, plagues, tornado's hurricanes, sickness, pain, and the list goes on and on. How can a nation that has turned its back on God even expect things to go perfect.

We are a nation founded on God..and yet..how quickly we shove God out of our life when things are going fine. It is now offensive to have Bible's in the class room. Once the very foundation of our society and now it is nothing to many individuals.
In the end... God will be the one to judge this case... I wonder what His verdict will be.

Right off the bat it has a description about a womans body sticking in your face. Then it goes on to tell you that Johnny is in the back room sucking on his gin. These two things right here are promoting sex and alcohol. Then the next verse talks about a girl saying her number is 911 and wants to see this dudes gun. Now, I know we are not dumb so we can all figure that one out.

This is the kind of music that our kids are listening too. Leading the kids to think that it is ok for them to have sex and drink. Well it isn't.

Our Bible tells us in Eph. 5:3

" But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covertousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints."

I Thess. 4:3

" For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication."

Our guide book has a lot of scriptures in it about fornication and the such. If God requires this of us, we should require that of our children as well. Our children were given to us, a gift from God, to raise up to serve the Lord and to follow his directions. We, as parents most of the time, don't pay attention to what our children watch and listen too. What is being put in their minds and corrupting them.

I challenge you to pay more attention to what your children are listening to and watching. It is becoming of the Lord? Is that what he would want us to let our children listen too?

Raise up your children unto the Lord and when they are old they will not depart from it. Prov. 22:6 (paraphrased)
