You see I had an Independent record label and two groups on the rise. I had spent many nights down on Broadway with the group of girls I represented and had hung out with many people who I will not mention but God had other plans. When I came under conviction I canceled my contracts and walked away from country music and the rest of the music scene. That August my band from Texas called and asked me to be a part of their new record deal. As I prayed about it the very things that you mentioned came pouring into my head. Even though I needed the money my reply was No. I could not disappoint my Savior by dragging His name from bar to bar, show to show, promoting the very things that He was against.
